    LATEST UPDATE:

So Evolve has my board and everything. The tracking showed they signed for it on April 6th. Here it is April 14th, 8 days after they've had my board and NO refund as of yet to my credit card. I emailed Alex at Evolve a couple of days ago, Tuesday, he replied the next day saying he'll go ahead and process it. Yesterday morning, nothing. No email and no refund. I replied that morning asking the status of the refund and that I want the refund to be itemized so I know it was all refunded properly. As of yesterday to today, nothing.

I'm never buying anything from these guys again and all I can pass on to others about Evolve is negative. This is insane, holding on to someone's money from a defective board who got seriously hurt and didn't take the route of suing them is unthinkable.

I'm really loosing my patience with this company.

My money should have been refunded the day they received the board, now I'm out close to $3,000 USD with all the accessories, and taxes and no board in hand.

Not Cool. Will update once the refund has been 100% issued back to my credit card. Filing a dispute with my credit card company, now that I look back on this in hindsight, would have been the best and quickest way to resolve this.

All of this reminds me now of the recent United Airlines fiasco we had in the USA.

Just had ANOTHER AMAZING RIDE. I LOVE THIS BOARD!

I rode for 13 miles in hills with 97's, in GT mode, and you know what? ... I never changed the gear, not ONCE.

Hey Wiztecy, sorry you can't seem to catch a break. :(

^^ As I indicated before, I'm very happy things are working great for you ^^

However, I stil get PM messages from forum members who have the same issues I reported and experienced and who've been trying to get the board fixed or a resolution to it with no avail.. They live in different parts of the country and world, also more posts have popped up of others who voiced their issues and also got injured do to the board doing something unpredictable.

    Refunds can take crazy time......

I cancelled an order before from another company for an electric skateboard and it took 2 months before I got my money back.

I contacted my back and requested a chargeback - but they have policies to allow companies to refund first (they give 30 days standard)

I would wait the 30 days first - but highly doubt it would take that long. You could initiate the chargeback I he meantime, but there is a lot of paperwork required and banks can be as frustrating as the company in my experience.

Hope it all gets resolved quick for you - you have been very unlucky

My board continues to be superb riding everyday - without a single connection issue - my remote and the control confidence I have is 100% so it does work.

Don't anyone settle for any less !!! Maybe I am lucky - or maybe a small number have issues I don't know.

Either way - I would recommend the board 100% based on my 4 months so far.

^ Thanks ^ Will take that into account. Of all the refunds large and small I've never had to wait 30 days. From researching a retail refund should take no longer than 1 week, so with that I'll wait until next Thursday to see how things go.

"If it is a refund from a returned retail purchase, the process should take no longer than one week."

How long should I wait for a credit card refund?

Also Evolve had the board for almost a week before even trying to do any of the refund processing, and it was I the customer who had to ping them to see what was going on.

That's super your board is working without issues. That's what I was shooting and hoping for but it never worked out. It was fun when it worked and was predictable.

I know man....I have read all your posts - and previously agreed with you. Your issues are genuine - and I would fight the same as you did if I was in your shoes.

Especially given the fact that boards exist that work perfectly - like mine. Yours should too - or they should have replaced it if they couldn't fix it.

It is simple stuff really - and all they have achieved is a really pissed of customer - With good reasons.

Very interested to hear how your home build goes - keep us updated.

Guess the refunds vary from bank to bank or country to country - I'm in Ireland - and my bank said they would do nothing in the first 30 days to allow time for the company to process it (I didn't agree or like that by the way :))

I had to produce email threads with commitments from the company where they agreed the refund - and the bank would only communicate via post !!! No phone calls or emails allowed .....

Imagine how I felt about that !!!! (You think evolve support is bad - I was raging at the banks attitude) but in the end the company refunded me.

Still to this day no refund from Evolve and they've had my board for 13 days. Alex sent a mail a couple of days ago asking for my PayPal account to send the refund. Still no activity with the Credit Card nor PayPal. Also email communication isn't the best, which is the same experience I had with support for this product.

Happy to report Evolve finally came through on their part of the deal. Alex responded to my email and indicated the money has been refunded, which I verified it has.

Just be patient and persistent with Evolve and try to resolve any issue through them. If they drop communication, resend your message, they will eventually respond and try to help / resolve the situation as much as they can.

Glad you're all done and dusted with the ordeal Wiztecy, although it's a shame they couldn't completely resolve the issues for you so you could keep the board.

I do hope these connection issues are sorted. Last week a friend of mine in the States who received a Bamboo GT for Christmas fell off due to what I imagine was some kind of connection issue.

He and his friend (who bought a Bamboo GT last month) both experienced some kind of interference or signal drop at the same time when out riding together causing them to both fall off their boards.

So to close up this story and have it end well for me, my Kaly.NYC / Trampa 2-in-1 Urban Street Carver has just arrived after some time. Well worth the wait. Here's the link to my write up and pics. Very pleased with it so far and will update that link as time goes on with my experience and adventures.
