Hope people are receiving their long awaited boards. I'm for sure having a blast but its a true learning experience. First thing, always have your helmet on when riding this board. I can't stress that enough, Evolve is not filtering out any of the power from that pack to your wheels. Get to know that remote and how it controls the board. That's the hardest thing to learn and pick up. It can take at minimum 1 week to a month of find the right feel and connection you have between that trigger and your wheels. Be ready to be thrown off. No matter how good you think you are, this board will come through on that one for you. Lastly, I wouldn't worry about blemishes too much. Give it a week and sit on it. Take a higher priority that you get the speed that's advertised and a reliable and quiet board. I had a few blemishes, it is hard to take at first since the board is so beautiful and you paid a good bit of hard earned money on it, however, if you're riding the board the way you should and the way it wants to, you're going to get nicks, gashes, scrapes on the thing. So then that stupid blemish just turned into a ***** session. Don't get me wrong, email Evolve to let them know so they can address or know of the issue. But know that if Evolve swaps out your board, you now have a new unknown to deal with. Lastly have fun and get ready for tons of compliments and questions.

Also to add, my board meets Evolve's spec on the rated 83mm top speed. When I got the board it only reached 19mph tops on the flats. After two nights of 100% charging and sitting on the charger overnight to balance the battery cells, I now reach 23mph on the flats. So 1st day of riding the board, 19mph, 2nd night of charge/balance, 22mph, last night 23mph.

Good info man. My board is still in transit. This has been the longest weekend ever!
it still an adjustment or a learning curve in Eco mode? Assuming you've had a board before.
I'm curious as to what these cutouts are going to feel like...
As for as top speeds....I'm hoping to set some evolve records on my 97mm...I'm only 135 lbs

yep, eco mode till jolt and throw you off. Just limited top speed. When I said slow mode above I ment eco. Thing is you find yourself getting out of eco mode since you want that higher top speed. Well, shoot once i'm in fast mode why not GT. So that's how it works its way though your system. If you have pads/guards, wear those. I misplaced mine, up in the attic or something. If I found them I'd be wearing them (elbo, wrist, knee protection). Weekends hurt unless its delivered by FedEx that does Saturday deliveries. Been though that with my Metros, one came in on a Saturday and the other on the following Monday. The longboard / 40 mile range one showed up on the Saturday so that worked out perfect actually. Let us know when it arrives!

Got my board yesterday and rode it today and it's a blast! Not issues with my board.

You guys think picking up one of those 3D trigger guards is a good idea? Have no clue since I've never used the remote.

I wouldn't unless you feel you're clumsy, you learn that the board is live all the time with the remote on. Nice to have in the beginning I guess but it makes a larger footprint of the remote. I like things like EV skate remotes simple that can fit into my pocket without trouble. It may work for some, personal preference type of thing.

It is nice to be able to easily slip it in your pocket, I'm definitely going to order one from Nickelberry though and give it a shot, or have one printed locally. Jimbo took a tumble yesterday when borrowing a GT after tapping the trigger.

Luckily he was okay, but even if your the least clumsy person in the world we all get distracted sometimes.

To be fair, I'm in the top percentile for clumsy. Goodness knows why I decided to take up with skateboards for the first time in my life this summer. It must be a mid-life crisis!

I just noticed on Evolve's site that the 83mm are to hit 22mph. I mistakenly thought this was 23mph. I guess having such high expectations allowed me to hit 23mph them :) After the charge drops a bit I do come down to 22mph. Stoked their numbers are real. Board is great, very happy with it. Lots of fun that's for sure.
