you can go into the menu to get the actual voltage reading, but the live % is there i guess to help you know how hard you are pushing the board, and if you are going up or down a hill, it will let you know exactly how much you have left, not a guess, as when you hit a low number you run the risk of the board slowing down a lot, or even cutting out if it is too low. Knowing you have 10k back home is fine but if that ride has hills or you are in fast or GT mode, you need an accurate reading to let you know if you can get to your destination safely. But these boards run differently to other batteries I've seen, there is a big loss in power when you are down to a certain %, and you have to really go into eco to push the last bit of juice out of it. Gotta say, I love the range on my Carbon GT :)

I agree. If the battery pack has voltage sag it is not reading the capacity left. It is displaying the % it is sagging to. The greater the Ah the pack is the less sag seen so the more accurate the reading of voltage to actual charge left.
Carbon gt batteries are subject to less sag and more accuracy than bamboo Gt

I'd actually like a cruise control button. This way I can be sure to maximize my mileage if I am cruising on a non hilly path.
