Screw found inside board

I have just received my Carbon GT put it on charge and whilst waiting for it to charge i took off cover to look inside and there's a screw just sat there it doesn't look it's come loose from anywhere. I'm just glad that I found it before riding it and it fell into the circuit boards. Not very good QC.

 

I didn't think much to the bit of black tape rapped around the wires either, it's not like i paid nearly £1900 for it

 

That tape looks a bit odd, I think they normally use glue there...

 

Maybe they ran out of hot glue - (or increasing their profit - lol) silicone sounds like a good idea

 

Alex julian46 No glue or silicone under the tape but they have put silicone on the connectors to the circuit board to stop them coming loose

 

Nipped to homebase and brought a tube of silicone and sealed it properly,not sure if i went ott .

 

also copied funkyj idea using the brown insulation stuff but i stuck mine to the under side of the deck board.

 

here is what mine came with straight out of the box. my guess is the newer orders come with the glue
