I have just received my Carbon GT put it on charge and whilst waiting for it to charge i took off cover to look inside and there's a screw just sat there it doesn't look it's come loose from anywhere. I'm just glad that I found it before riding it and it fell into the circuit boards. Not very good QC.

I didn't think much to the bit of black tape rapped around the wires either, it's not like i paid nearly £1900 for it

Oh, that screw there? I'm pretty sure that's the golden screw. It's kind of like the Golden ticket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. You've just won a lifetimes worth of Evolve boards! :grinning:

That tape looks a bit odd, I think they normally use glue there...

I haven't got a GT to check, but I think you might be right. Unless there's glue underneath the tape?

In this thread there's photos of a two different GTs, both look like they came with glue.

Is it good idea to waterproof Carbon GT?

From about the 5min mark in this guys video, he say's he topped up his seal with silicone.

Looks like @[]shappy[] has some glue too.

Maybe they ran out of hot glue - (or increasing their profit - lol) silicone sounds like a good idea

Alex julian46 No glue or silicone under the tape but they have put silicone on the connectors to the circuit board to stop them coming loose evolveboardno tape.jpg evolveboardsiliconeconnecters.jpg
