Remote Problems... How big of an issue is it?

I had remote issues that I learned to live with because they where predictable. I would turn on the remote and the board and give it a test, and it would be obvious if the remote had a bad channel. If there was I would turn both on and off and usually within a try or two it would work without any problems for the rest of that ride.

Recently I had the remote trigger break and Evolve sent me a new remote. I'm not sure if its the hardware or the most recent firmware but I no longer have any connection problems whatsoever. It's made the board much more enjoyable knowing that I can turn it on hop on and go rather than run through a test.

My experience for what it's worth.....

    Cheers

I've also experienced drop outs and sudden stopping etc on my Bamboo GT and got thrown (also documented on this forum) - I've kept it so far and basically ride it under "controlled conditions" - the carve for me right now makes it worth it - but have an Acton S2 for everyday riding - I trust that board 100% (remote wise) so its just more fun to casually go out and ride around (still with helmet but a little less gear) - the remote / radio is totally solid - no issues at all in over 200K - you feel like you are in total control of the board at all times - built-in lights are handy - no separate charging required - it looks a little less aggressive - most watching you carry it around don't even know its an eboard - If Evolve ever completely changes their remote / radio system I would consider them again - but until they do my future eboard purchases will be going elsewhere (again I don't feel they have really addressed the core issue with their remote - just released incremental band aid partial solutions along the way)
