A tad more than a whisper, but marginally less than a jumbo jet

    :p

Seriously though, not that much noise at all. More a kind of electrical whine. Enough that if you're going at a medium speed, pedestrians should hear you coming up behind them though.

Perhaps comparable to an electric golf cart? But quieter? It's been a while since I played golf, so that might not be right. In which case, refer to line one.

enough to let people in front of you know you are coming, but not enough to wake people up when you skate around the streets at night :)

Sound is up to a very acceptable level. And as mentioned even a good thing as people do hear you approaching them and as you are in most cases pretty fast it is better that you don't fully surprise them!

Anyone else notice that the sound it makes is particularly frightening to Females? I've had a few nearly **** themselves later on at night as if the electric skateboard is the mode of transport of attackers or something.

That's just how he looks TheWhizz, don't make him feel any worse than he already does :p

I've had that when riding through the park on a GT. I came down a path (at a very reasonable speed, I always slow down when overtaking walkers), and this woman let out the loudest audible gasp as I went by. Very dramatic, pulling her hands up and arms together.

It is a bit unexpected to have someone blast past you on an electric device sometimes, so you do have to try and be considerate. Most people don't realise electric skateboards even exist.

It's definitely an unexpected surprise for most people. I don't want to slow down, but I force myself too when overtaking peds, otherwise we'd scare the poop out of all of them left right and center. I've had for some of them to start complaining about those young whippersnappers whizzing by on pedestrian pathsI
