    Same clicking noise as mine.

Undo the cog lug. move it out 1.5mm along shaft. do it back up.

At least try having it in this position to see if noise stops my cogs are NOT flat with the end of my motor shaft.

OK, cool. What tool are you using for this? My Allen keys are to soft, and my bits are to short and to large...

    Thanks.

Anyone have a recommendationon a quality tool available quickly in Houston? My free shipping warranty expires in about 45 hours, I think.

I'm hearing a clicking noise that I believe is coming from my motor. Did the advice above solve the problem? I took my motor off from the mount and had it by the wire and a finger for support and it was still clicking.

So I hate to admit it but not sure what the cog lug is. Is it on the cog? Or is it the 4 screws that hold the motor?

No, I was unable to resolve the issue. I sent my board back for service. I don't have it back yet. They received it Tuesday. I really want to ride it. I never did when I had it as I was afraid of restocking fees if I was upset and decided do a return. I bought a lot of accessories including 8" street A/T tires, tubes, blue hubs, and extra A/T gears. I didn't return them with the board for repair, so I probably won't do a return/refund of the board. I had hoped they would send it back to me quickly. I had heard of 1 day turn around from US support, but I guess I suffered a longer repair perhaps due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

The offered to send me a motor for a quicker self repair, but I chose to have them repair it. I didn't want to mess with all the hot glue. Also, in case there where any other issues I want them to make it right. One thing I noticed was that my silver GT logo was missing from the truck top plate of the front truck.

My motor only made noise when there was tension, even light tension, on the belt. There was no clicking sound when the belt wasn't used.

It's in the motor gear/cog. It's purpose is to secure the gear to the motor's drive shaft.

How do I access it? Can't seem to find it

When the belt is removed from the motor drive gear look closely. You should see a hole in the face of the gear. The lug is in this hole. I don't have mine at the moment to take a picture, but a Google images search using keywords grub screw, gear, and tooth turned up this: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgur...sTQAhXBSSYKHcbqD7AQMwgiKAgwCA&iact=mrc&uact=8 which is similar.

I'm trying to budge this cog lug but I feel I'm going to break this little 1.5 mm hex key before it budges. Makes me kinda not want to mess with it. Was yours like that?
This is the clicking sound anyway

Yes. I never broke mine loose. I didn't bother finding a better tool, as my board had never even been stood on, I decided to send it in for a motor swap. Your clicking seems MUCH louder and severe than mine. I'd think that that level of intensity might allow for an easier diagnosis. Does it seem, to you, the sound is coming from the cog hitting somewhere?

It looks perfectly fine to me. seems to be spinning on center. It rides fine too, the only thing is top speed of 25-26 on my 97s hasnt really happened although it could be the cold weather here in NY.

Most likely there's loctite on that cog screw. Typically if feels like it won't budge, feels like you may strip the allen screw really. I did swapped motor pulleys on my MetroBoard and almost gave up on my 1st board. I then tried again and pop and loosened. Make sure you have a very good allen key, a black one that's hardened when you do try breaking the set screw loose. Also sometimes adding heat tot he screw area will weaken the loctite and make removal easier.

That clicking noise in the video sounds like its coming from inside of your motor. Do you have a large tube? You can use it like a stethoscope if you don't own one. You also can use your phone's microphone to see where the noise is coming from and gets louder. Really sounds like something inside the brush less motor that loose and hitting a high spot on revolution. I'd contact Evolve, send them the video, and possibly send the board back unness they'll send you a new motor to swap which may be easier.

Here are some pics of the motor taken apart, possibly its a wire that's sticking out and hitting the motor as well.

Thanks foe the help. I just sent the video to evolve so I will hear back on Monday morning. They are very prompt.
I don't think I want to disassemble the motor just yet considering I have no clue what I'm doing and the board rides fine.
I'll see what evolve says. Maybe they have a reason to replace it....or something they've heard before.

evolve already shipped me out a new motor. I decided to replace it myself so I can learn how to do it while it is still under warranty.

You say that the clicking only happens when there is belt tension? I would tripple and double check that you don't have a rock locked in your drive pulley attached to the motor.

Iv'e had this happen to me a few times, and the rock was barely noticeable. It caused the EXACT clicking sound you are describing, and it will appear that your wheel is out of round.

EDIT: nvm, watched your video it seems you were pretty thorough in checking for things in the pulley.

I have the same issue with one of my motors. Only had the board 3 weeks. Happened after i took off the all terrain tires and put on some ABEC flywheels. Troubleshot it with new speed rings, barrings, spacers etc.... Contacted Evolve and hoping they can ship it back there and see whats up. LOVE the board though, gonna miss having it.

I have the same noise. I will contact Evolve and ask them what to do. The motor that makes the noise is a replacement motor. The first one stopped working when I had the board for only couple of weeks.
