On the USA website it says:

GTX Pre-order reservations will be available for purchase on June 22nd at 12pm PST.

GTX pre-orders are anticipated to be processed before the end of July!

I'd say the end of July is probably a good estimate for Europe too. It takes about 7 weeks I believe for the boards to arrive via ship, and I'm sure they're already well on the way.

Oh ok!! But we have for Europe, Evolve UK for instance. So I suppose Evolve UK also will have that preorder maybe?

I didn't have to pay anything to preorder it besides the price of the product. The only issue I have is that I don't actually have a definitive time-period it will deliver. It says "Delivery Aug" but that's all.

The thing is, for Boosted Board, you pay 100$ for preorder, and you don't pay entire amount, till they tell you they are going to send it

I don't know why they / Evolve do full money down on pre-orders still. Companies do that if they don't have the money or cashflow to keep production going. At this stage of Evolve you'd think they'd be fine with money in the bank to keep production and R&D moving forward.

Yes, companies like to have your money before giving you the product, why, its money in the bank that they can use before they deliver anything. This means they can use your money to fund their projects and to buy supplies to build things, again, if they can't do their budget right and they don't have a good business model with how things work as you do have a secure client base. They also reap the free interest from having your money in the bank, where you're not getting it no-more.

I honestly hope Evolve did their homework with the GTX and resolved the remote interference and drop-out issues. Something tells me they didn't, and what they implemented is the board drops down into a dumb mode when it looses connection between the remote and controller. I would have thought they would have addressed this with the latest product release, the Evolve 1, but as we see its just as bad with drop-outs and dangerous issues as the GT had. So it inherited the problems of the family line.

Truth and time will tell if Evolve fixed things with real honest reviews and feedback from the users and youtube reviewers.

I'm sure that the remote it´s exactly the same. They just had a firmware update and that´s it, but those problems losing connection etc will continue. I don't know why, but every youtuber I ask about those connection problems, they say that they never had any. Weird

I kind of agree that it's a slightly annoying practice, however the reason for it is not always purely due to cashflow. I know of some very large UK companies that still do this, so it's not uncommon practice in many places.

Both Scan.co.uk and Overclockers.co.uk (very big UK online computer parts companies) take payment for the full amount on preorder.

The practice has been a bit contentious for a long time, but they're still doing it, so I don't really pay much heed any more and just accept it and go with it if I really want that product. I'm sure there must be some reasonable business reasons for doing so such as only getting committed buyers to make the pre-order to better help with stock management.

Scan posts the reason on their website saying it's for stock control management, to ensure the orders are from committed buyers who want to ensure their place in the que and aren't placing the same order with 10 etailers and cancelling 9 of then when the figure out who can get them the item first, which makes sense.

Obviously you can't get the GTX from multiple sources, but considering it can take up to 2 months for a crate of boards to hit your distributor from the factory, it makes sense that you would want committed buyers who aren't going to flake, so you can best forecast the number of units required for each each shipment and adjust your numbers accordingly. I'm guessing that's probably a big factor in the reasoning.

Do the motors heat up alot? I have a new GTX on order and I am wondering if you can put protection film on the motors to prevent scratching or if the motors heat up too much for this to be advisable.

    Thanks

I preordered mine from Evolve Germany. Their shop stated it should take 5 weeks untill the shipment arrives. I hope I get it early August at the latest, so I can put it to test when it's still summer.

Thank you for the info! I wonder how these wheels will compare to the ABEC 11’s.

The opening has happened and on youtube - thicker battery and routed deck as expected. Motor controller same position, BMS still integrated into battery.

Thanks for the info! It seems easier to route a Bamboo deck by yourself and use a custom battery pack instead of upgrading a Bamboo GT with GTX deck and battery...
