    Hi,

I have a Carbon GT and in desperate need of a new battery. Is Evolve going to launch a new battery, with more juice, anytime soon or should I just go ahead and buy the stock battery?

I would ask a custom battery manufacturer to make one for you with the Evolve BMS - unless you blew that up or something. The Evolve ones are overpriced and don't use great cells - they also aren't going to release a new battery anytime soon

    Ok, Thanks!

I'm in Sweden is there anyone that can make me one?

So, I've tried googling it a bit, but haven't come up with anything good. . . I feel like I'm missing the key words when searching for a semi-local custom battery builder.

Can anyone tell me what they've searched, or where, to find someone?

I'm looking forward to this as my girlfriend is upper-management in Tesla. Also, I need specs for a larger battery case for my 3d printer. If you help me with that Nickelberry, I'll gladly ship you products to help test.

So the battery is all together, and I have started modding the battery case, I still have a lot of work to do. I kinda underestimated the amount of time this build would take. I have probably sunk over 15 hours into it already and it will probably still need another 10 or so to be functional....... Anyway I'm recked for today.

So this is now a thing, it is still a bit rough around the corners but it does seem to be functional. I plan to give it a good test run as soon as I get some nice weather. It took me about 25 hours to get it to thin point.

Sure thing I will upload a pic tomorrow, but for now I can tell you the battery case sits about 6mm lower than stock.

So minor update, I have had a couple chances to give it a good test and every thing is coming up positive. Last night we had a small group ride and I outlasted all the CGT guys, when they were running out I still had 30 or so percent left. From the info I have gathered so far I think I should be able to make it about 40km going easy and 30km going hard. Not to shabby at all.
    Also pics,

Exactly what I need in the future. How much did it cost to make?

It wasn't cheep, I needed to buy a lot of tools, the total project cost was probably around $900 AUD, but now that I have the tools it would only cost me around $500 to make another.

How'd you make the battery cover extension/riser/lip/surround/spaceincreaser?

Hey Mate, battery sag is no longer an issue The most I have seen is single digit sag, but keep in mind I run the 38T drive gear. Yeah the battery sliders get a proper workout haha they work a treat. I'm using the stock BMS and motor controller, the battery is 10S4P made of LG HG2 cells.

The extension was made by plastic welding in some extra length from a replacement battery case, Evolve sells these. the riser/lip is 3D printed.

3D plans you'd be willing to share? Do we have a repository for 3D plans around somewhere?

More torque so I pretty much never need to use GT.
