I really like what you did with the custom grip tape. You inspired me to do something very similar. I wanted extra grip around the nose and tail section too, so I wrapped it around those areas too.
i like my evolve, the boosted rides a little smoother and you have better control of the throttle but i take him on speed, going up hill and battery. when he's battery was low i was on 60% left
Received my GT Bamboo back from Evolve HQ, they didn't even tell me what had been fixed. No email, no message, nothing. Pretty lousy customer service.
Not sure if I would be riding with my flipflops, rather have some sneakers just to be safe when I have to jump off.....
It goes a little faster once you get the board moving mate! Love these wheels will ride over anything in its path. Well worth the money in my opinion
This board rides so well!I have this board for over a year now and never had a problem with remote or connection issues
Also I think it's difficult to pull out all paint of original design by glind the grip. Even if you glind still original paint left on the board. So depend on which color you paint but may be the original black paint come appear to top color. Better to do a white surface paint first to cover original then after that to paint what you want. If you do this, the color will be very bright and clean. This is that I noticed after I did mine.
Small points you have to check good as below. When you look at the design of the logo, that screw hole is just beside. So need to consider your design with screw holes should not be hit.

Thank you! Still need small adjustment for my aim. The edge should be black and also pait the GT logo on the center of the board.
Been meaning to try out sugru for a while. The story behind the founder and hown it came about is pretty neat
