Remote not turning ON?

Hey everyone...

My remote won't turn on... When I press the power button a white screen pops up..... let off the power button, the white screen goes away.... But the remote dose not turn on.

the remote is charged up and was working just before this.. Any ideas? Thanks

Had this happen to me once. Take cover off, flip circuit board over, pull plug to battery, reinsert. Does a hard reset and worked fine after that. Cheers from Texas

 

Hi PacoP, I'v just tried that now but no success, it is still doing the same thing.. I'm gonna try it again and try leave it plugged out for 10 seconds or more,

Hmmm. This issue was why I joined the forum-looking for a solution. Found it in another thread about remote problems and it worked for me. Mine wouldn't even charge or shut off-just a white screen. I did leave it unplugged from battery for a couple of minutes. Once I plugged it back in and turned it back on normally, it has been good for a couple of weeks now. You might have a circuit board glitch or something. Maybe Evolve guys will know the answer. Good luck.

I have contacted Evolve Uk about this to which I got a speedy response and instruction as above to remove the power cable in the remote but with no success. I am now to send in the remote for fixing or replacement.

Aghhh no board to go cruising!!

 

Bummers. At least you only have to send in the remote and not the whole board. Once it is resolved please post results i.e. whether chip was bad or if they replaced whole remote. I was afraid I was going to have to send mine in or order a new remote when it happened to me. All you can do now is pedal it like a conventional board. Wonder how fast their response will be???

 

Very true, I'm in Ireland so at least the remote can be sent express to the UK.

I was really hoping for the reset to work as well but sure onwards and upwards

I will update as soon as I know more...

 

Update: Evolve UK contacted me yesterday (News Years Day) to explain they have found some spare new remotes and they are sending me one ASAP to keep my down time to a minimum.

I must say these guys are on top of things and have been nothing but great customer service. It gives you piece of mind that you will be taken care of if anythings happens to your board.

New remote arrived today, Any issues I was having with pairing to the board and any delayed responses from the remote have also been solved with this new remote, connection seems more solid then the last remote..... Happy Days Thanks EvolveUK.

 

Same issue unscrewed flipped board disconnected power for a few secs and white screen of death gone. Cheers

 

Just got my new remote 2 days ago after the exact same thing happened to me, ring evolve and they will send you a new one. Just make sure you email there support group with a brief summary of what's happening.

 

since i cant live without my board, i should buy me a 2nd remote just in case.
