Hi. I had Bamboo GT a fews years ago but want a new board. I want to buy the newer Bamboo GTR, but I have heard alot of stories about the control being disconnected and the wheels locking up/braking while driving. Is this a problem on all evolve boards or mostly the Bamboo GTR?

    G'day Jonasks,
I've been riding my Carbon GTR for a year now and I've not had any remote connection issues, nor have my wheels ever 'locked' up. I've spoken in person with many other Evolve riders (carbon & bamboo) and no-one has ever reported this as a real world problem. Honestly I think the issue is mostly hype, riders who've failed to keep their board maintained and is most often bearing's or debris in their belts.

I've 4 different brands of skateboard and yes, had connection issues on rare occasions. The primary reason for my remote disconnections are proximity to other bluetooth transmissions. I skate with a bluetooth speaker on my belt and a phone, using my phone to transmit music to the speaker. Proximity of the remote to the speaker/phone will, very rarely cause a disconnection using my Wowgo or Backfire boards.

I had a recent test ride of the Hadean and I would recommend you go all the way and move up to a Hadean if possible, as you're looking to upgrade. The extra width on the board really is very comfortable and gives more opportunity to carve deeper. Greater range, bigger motors with design thought given to cooling the ESC and motors are other improvements they've made.
