Notes: It works using the normal embed code, but the live player is larger due to the black bars above and below it.

Alternative: Grab embed code from live streamers main page and use the parsehtml tags, manually increasing the height attribute to about 600

Idea: Andy , we could create a facebook live forum purely for posting live streaming vids by moderators. I could set it up so that users get a notification when any threads are created in that forum, thus getting them straight in on the livestreaming action, what do ya think?

sounds alright but you get a notification with FB so is it not just doubling up on stuff?

Potentially, that may be the case for many of the users that are already apart of the group or follow particular pages on facebook.

But as new users join they may be members of the forum and not the facebook group, so they wouldn't be getting the notifications from FB.

It could be cool to have a live thread on the forum, revolving around any given live stream where people would get the full fat forum interface for posting comments.

Another thing to consider is that a surprising number of people don't have Facebook accounts anymore, they've either suspended or disabled them, however if the video was embedded in it's own thread on here, it could get exposure to a larger audience. I believe as long as the feed is set to public, anyone would be able to watch it without having a FB account.

Or we could potentially have two forums, one for 'Evolve' live streams, where users automatically get a notification. This could be used sparingly to prevent spamming and only for official Evolve streams.

And one for 'Member's Live Streams', which is just a normal forum where anyone can start a thread embedding their own personal live stream.

That way it doesn't matter what service their using. It could be Facebook, YouTube, Periscope, any other live stream choice of the moment.

Or another option is to not have any alerts just manually push alerts/emails to registered users for important live streams, like products announcements.

Here is a problem, most live feeds are in the FB owners group! There was a couple in vegas that I cant add :sob: no way round this methinks.

Yeah, they can only be shared if they're public. All the ones on the official page are public, so I've already added them to the gallery.

hmmmm people tend not to use their profile as it does not notify the owners group......

How do you mean? Sorry, I don't quite follow

I mean people like to go live in the owners group as then everyone in the group gets a notification, if they just go live on their profile then no notification is sent to the group only friends.
