It looks like an early production version of the new GTs

Interesting, I just noticed he's riding it at decent speeds in both directions. At some points in the video the motors are at the front.

I'm found them around for $770 USD. Not Evovlve quality but might make an acceptable loaner board. Perfect that buddy request to "try your board."

You can ride the Evolve GTs with the motors in front too, just put it in REV & boom! Front Wheel Drive!!

Is the speed not capped in rev though?

I'd be careful, on the page where I found the video someone was having delivery issues and was't happy. On mobile right now, but will have a look later.

So I've been chatting with someone who bought one, he sorted the delivery issues eventually got it. He also wrote up a pretty comprehensive review. Hopefully he'll post it here so you can check it out.

Here's a vid he put together

I bought the board via alibaba, all retailers/fabrics are almost the same in china. So, everyone has the same boards with almost same specs. I bought it here

    Shenzhen Joy-Inno Technology Co., Ltd.

Also the oficial page for the company is this:

深圳市乐创优品科技有限公司 (upper right corner for english)

When you buy via alibaba, make sure that it is an oficial company/fabric to avoid some scams. Like every other page like amazon/ebay etc.

Sales man told me that they will send the batery in one package and board in another. So they can minimize taxes/customs.

The board has a cost of $500 dls and $250 "express" shipping. But you can find the same board for less money, about $400. Also with some dif specs like, less speed, less power, another type of batery, etc.

I bought it to joyinno cuz i liked the specs and the customer support.

I had many issues with the shipping delivery for the board. First i was told that package delivery was foing to be via UPS and all customs will be cleared. I live in mexico and there is not a single international shipping service that clears all customs/taxes.

1 week after waiting for the status of ups to change (it said "info has been sent to ups" with no update) i recieved a fedex shipping code. After another week of package not moving (same info has been sent, with no package moving) i contacted the supplier and they sent me another code, this time, a dhl code.

After almost +20 days of wait and after 2 mails to 2 ejecutives of joy inno my board was shipped. Finally !

I recieved the batery one week after i made the purchase. The batery was shipped without any problems.

Installation of the batery is pretty simple and easy.

The specs of the board are

    Max speed: 40 km/h
Speed modes: pro (40km/h) and cruiser (locked to 20km/h)
    Max load: 150kg
    Distance per charge: 25-30 km
    3200w power, dual motor
Deck made of bamboo and mapple
    Pneumatic tires

Of course speed and distance depends on user weight and speed.

    The good:

The board is pretty fast and reliable on almost any terrain (as far as you ride it at good speed).
The wheels are pneumatic, like a car wheels. Its water and dust resisntant.
It has foot straps so you can lean to the front or back without any problem.
I weight 100 kg and my height is 2m and it seems to carry me without any problem.

I have never rode it at full speed, i think the fastest i have ever go is about 30 km. And i feel like 30km/h is way too fast, i cant even imagine at top speed.

Maybe once i get more used to it ill try to achieve the max speed.

The deck feels very strong and good quality. Its made of 10 layers of mapple and bamboo. Its also very flexy

The motors are very quiet and the aceleration is very fast.

The control can be charged in a hour and can last up to 4 times of driving the skateboard.

    It has reverse and brake

The look of the board its badass

    The bad:

Skateboard is too heavy, 14 kg. If you ran out of juice, you are doomed.

It can be used as normal skateboard, you cant push it by feet. Well, you can but with a lot of effort

The speed is not gradual, what i meant is that you keep acelerating with the controler and the "gear change" will kick in everytime you accel a lil bit more. So you must be careful

Sometimes the controller seems to lost signal, but is very rare. And wont happen aftee desync and sync board and controller

If you stop acelerating you start losing speed due to motor friction.

The led indicator for battery is not intuitive. It says how many voltage left the batery has.
I would prefer some kind of percentage indicator of actual time use.

When i recieved the board, i opened the circuit box and check everything. Applied some thermal paste where it should be and check the circuits and wires. (chinese manufacture is a lil bit poor, with very light asembling process) so i recomend to check and adjust your board ASAP as you recieved it.

I think the batery last a little less that i expected BUT you can replace the battery with one with more voltage. Same size, same space, but better charge. (i already fount some bateries with 2/3 more voltage/power)

The charging time for the board is about 5-6 hours.

If you lean too much the deck hits the motor and start to scratch the deck.

The hydraulics are too loose for my taste. Maybe if i adjust them it will be better

No regenerative breaks. I have read that regerative breaks shortened the batery life, so i guess thats a good thing not no have it.

This is my first electric skateboard and i decided to buy one offroad one becausw here in my country, the streets are a mess and i will end up in a hospital if i use the ones like boosted or action blink. Lol

So far so good, it has it flaws and some good things. Right now im enjoying it and have no mayor problems.

Any doubt, feel free to ask.

Great write up Chriz Taylor! Thanks for sharing.

Seems like an okay choice if you're on a real budget for an all terrain board and are willing to tinker.

When I saw your original post about the shipping issues, I was concerned you might have been scammed. Glad they came through in the end.

That weight is crazy though. My pre-GT Carbon is around 10.5kg I think, I can't imagine hauling a 14.5kg board around.

Thanks for the atention to the video !

Also, lets hit the gym, so the board wont feel as heavy as it does lol

I would never use foot straps....you can't get off the board quickly enough when needed

Looking at the imagine I already see some things I would like know. Like the hubs....wheel nut is deep in the hub. Deck does not look well designed either (edges look rough/unregular) and also the not covered charging port (although the Evolve cover is also not the best design. Also the way the truck is mounted looks kind of let's get this done quickly design.

Just ordered an action board and hopefully it performs better than these chinese clones. Will keep you all updated!
