Does anyone have a Bamboo GT and have experienced water damage? I'm just wondering how sensitive to water and puddles it is. If so, how much water was it and how soon did you notice damage? And what specifically was the effect on the electronics?

Live in Ireland - and we have a lot of rain - also several others here too. I have had water enter the board though wicking down the motor cable cover. Also water thrown up from rear wheels can enter anywhere along the sides - and the most dangerous is water entering the motor cable entrance points.

I have seen the board recover from all water so far......once it got on the motor controller and I was very lucky, I dismantled it - cleaned it with solvent cleaner and dried and reassembled and it was perfect again.

Since then I have sealed all along the edges with black silicon - also sealed all gaps - and there is the further option to seal the motor controller with spray sealant to protect it.

Since then I have riden through lots of water without any issues at all

Why they couldn't have sealed this stuff themselves when their main competitor advertises water resistance is beyond me. I almost went with Boosted because of that since I live in a rainy area, but I really wanted those AT wheels.

We put the Jedboards through some wet weather testing in Melbourne last week, and we found that they handled water/puddles and light rain very well. No board is waterproof ;) but these come very close. Our clothes were soaked by the end of the session, but the boards were totally fine, not to mention the traction control worked like a charm, even with 80mm wheels.
