I currently ride my board to and from work, which is only a couple of kilometers, so range is never an issue, but on weekends, I like to take the board out for rides for as long as the batteries can take me.

I took the board out this morning, while riding in FAST mode (with the old remote), in street setup and with some one or two moderate hills, I was only able to get a range of 15 km's. I could possibly had pushed the board a little further in ECO mode, but it was already at the 10% remaining.

Interested to know what kind of ranges everyone else is getting with their boards with their riding style and environment.

I am having the same experiences and using Fast mode does drain the battery quicker of course. If you have 2 hills on that ride I can imagine that range will drop to 15km. Doing only ECO will get you close to the 30km when on flat terrain but all depends on weight, wind, type of road (smoothness), etc.

Only advice is to balance fast and eco to get more range and maybe get a fast charger and schedule to have a stopover and have drink while recharging......

I did the test last week in AT setup.
I was able to do 16km (on Endomondo) of which 10km in fast mode before the battery is at 0%. The last 10% were very long to go down. It should be noted that it was on flat along the beach. The board never stopped even at 0%.
    It's good I think.

I've been riding my Bamboo GT for about 3 months. Mostly on 7" ATs, but 97mm ABECs the first few weeks. In warm weather I got 14-18 miles on the 97s. Now that it is cooler I am getting 6-11 miles on ATs. It will run on 0% for a short distance, but it eventually shuts down. Never tossed me off tho :)

In the hilly area where I live near Seattle, I can get about a 5m range. Problem is, some hills drag the battery artificially low, causing the board to go into Eco mode... which isn't strong enough to get up some of these hills. :-(

I see about 6 miles riding on fast with AT. To be honest I was hoping for more range, I may upgrade to carbon at some point

I ride in ECO, kick pushing, going at 25-28 km/h at max, 85 kg and I've done 25 km and about 20 % battery remaining. Almost flat and some little hills. Very happy with the range.

    Ah, that makes a difference.

I was thinking about adding a set of 97mm wheels for their economy, but hear a lot about people switch from them to AT wheels and not switching back.

I want to try AT wheels before buy them, I hope someday someone let me try it. At the same time I don't want to lose range.

Does the range decrease dramatically in colder weather? I took my Bamboo GT (83mm wheels) out today for the first time. Towards the end of my ride, the battery was at 0 and I managed to get back home by going slower in ECO mode. The battery level started going up as I was giving it less throttle, and when I got home and took off my gear, the battery level ended up at 40% after a minute of sitting.

Keep in mid that it was 28f during this 3 mile ride. Battery level was at 70% when I started the ride.

It seems the cold definitely shortens the range. Cold here is like 40F & that's enough to notice

I had a brief try on the 97mm and to be honest loved them, increased range and roll was amazing. I really liked the locked in feel when carving as well. I only changed back to AT as its really we here in the UK at the moment and the AT wheels give really good traction, the 97mm were slippery as hell at times! Also I have a few speed bumps close by which I can clear at speed on AT and have to get off on 97mm.... I honestly had no issues with curbs, stones etc on 97mm they cleared everything with ease...

Given the choice I would prefer 97mm everyday but AT flexibility is amazing..

Well with my Bamboo GT, this evening I went 21k on street wheels. I did ECO for about 90% of the trip. SO happy with that result tho! In and out of the city on 83mm 76a stock street wheels. Remote said I had 46% battery but it was realistically at about 30% juice left, incredible!! The car is stayin at home now....that's if it's not raining :)

That's good range, I think the street wheels make a big difference as you can use eco mode more, I find the acceleration really really slow witheco and AT

Bigtime, the range on AT frustrates me. I don't mind ECO when it's on a flat surface, I got over 20km a few times. I've ABEC 11s 97mm on the way, am curious to see how that will work out. Street wheels can be dodgy on uneven surfaces, I don't know how I haven't hurt myself yet.

I have my 97mm wheels since yesterday and the ECO mode has become my default mode. It is much better than AT mode.

More range, but more vibration and especially, much more slippery.

I would like my bamboo in AT with an extra range.

Agreed, carbon is the way to go for AT I think because of the increased range..having said that running 90mm at the moment to help test flatland3d's motor guards and they feel really nice on the board!
