Did some tweaking with the trucks and bushings, picked up some venom green bushings, much harder than the stock, going to swap them around and see how they ride. With the first test, I used the green ones towards the base of the board at both ends, they still let you carve, but adds a little more stiffness when you corner for stability. 20161007_180824.jpg

Had this setup on my Carbon . Pretty happy with it really loose with stock ones on the GT

  4. What bush settings do you all think would be best for a heavier rider. I get a lot of unsteady wobble anything over 18-20mph

You would want to to swap out the stocks for harder bushings all round. But I have a friend who rides. I ended with this set up and he's 100kg

What's the degree of hardness for the venom green bushings used in this post? Such as the number value. Also what's the number value for the ones used on the stock GT?

    Thanks.

there was no value on either, the Venom just said "hard" and the stock ones are apparently "medium"

I used the venom green in the same configuration after seeing your post as a starting point and it feels about right for me at 75kgs... it definitely feels more solid now, thanks ;-)

Looking on Amazon there appears to be two greens. The "Green" which is rated at 93a and the "Olive Green" at 80a. So the mod in this thread is from what I can see 93a in hardness.

  10. Ordered a set of Bones High Performance Hard bushings. They arrived and are the wrong type :( It looks like you need both the tapered type and the cylinder type bushings. I will fit the tapered type in the top nut location whilst I order the cylinder types.

Unfortunately bones do not make cylinder type bushings. I am finding it difficult to find Hard cylinder type.

What site did you purchase the venom ones from? I found some on Amazon called Venom Downhill-93a Green Bushing Set, but there is also a carving set rated 93a, so not sure which set to get and should I get two sets for front and back wheels?

If you attach one bushing that's a cylinder to a lathe, drill press or drill you can cut down the bushing to be tapered. Just don't breath in the dust.

I have the "venom downhill" ones, they are only the bottom style closest to the deck, so the top cones are still the evolve stock ones, but this setup seems pretty good

I just got these Venom bushings, so I will attempt to put them on. Aside form better carving at high speeds will it reduce any whables?

And don't forget to wear your helmet and record it :p

  20. We were given some Green Evolve bushings at the Cyclopark event. I have been using them this week and just changing the larger bushings to green has stiffened the board right up. More stable at speeds but definitely harder to get a decent turn in. Particularly on the AT set up.
