Anyone drill in a handle onto their board?

I'm thinking of putting a handle on my board (with nuts and bolts, not screws). I was going to put it on the top middle of the board facing me, so that when I hold the board handle, the battery side is touching my body and not the grip tape because that rips the **** out of your clothes.

Anyone ever try this? Think it could hurt the integrity of the board?

What board are you planning to do this to?

Yea, I don’t see that being a problem as long as you don’t drill into a battery. Would it be possible to drill through the deck only? As in well outside of the enclosure.

I managed to get my hands on one of the board covers for my Carbon. Makes it way easier to carry because like you said no grip tape against you, and for whatever reason its easier to balance with the top of the board against you.

Takes a couple seconds to get it on, but the cover fits easily in a backpack pocket or even jacket.

I think with the bamboo drilling holes for a handle shouldn't be a big deal.
