Welcome to the electric skateboard suggestions forum

Why create a thread in here?

I've seen a plethora of great ideas bandied about on how to improve these electric skateboards. Some of them come from members of the community with unique insight and perspective. It's a shame that many of them may get lost in a thread only to ever remain just an idea.

The Evolve team are not huge. There's only so much of keeping up to date with social media comments, and one suggestion emailed to a certain distributor might not end up being shared with the global team or the community.

If we are able to consolidate these ideas, propose them in well thought out easy to digest ways along with supporting evidence and share our experience as to why we think each idea would be worthwhile, then they're much more likely to get implemented.

Doing it this way also allows us to obtain feedback from other users an in open forum, where we can discuss, iterate and improve upon some of the original suggestions.

How do I show support for a suggestion ?

You must like the first post of the thread. It's no use just replying, make sure you also like the post so we can sort them by popularity.

How do I add a suggestion?

    Please search first

The most important (and challenging) thing to do when posting a new suggestion is search for an existing suggestion. Reducing duplicate suggestions helps us see the true interest in a particular suggestion. It's a lot harder to see how much interest there is in a particular feature if it's split across 10 threads instead, or combined into one large review.

Carry out a keyword search limited to only the 'Evolve Ideas & Suggestions' forum to see if there's already a suggestion for your idea.

If you find a thread that represents your idea, like the first post and then add your contribution and input to that thread.

Have you seen and used a better implementation of an existing part of the board or remote elsewhere?
Then use this experience when composing your post and explain how and why it would be better, but also if there are any negatives you perceive compared to the current Evolve implementation - perhaps there's a good reason why Evolve went with the decision they chose, and decided to ship the board the way it is. It's good to talk about that too.

Try to include pictures, videos, diagrams, links to and images of exact products to help visualise your idea and demonstrate why your suggestion should be actioned.

Explain why you feel your suggestion should be implemented and if applicable what kind of situation you were in when any problems you encountered arose.

Let us know your use case, how did the existing version affect you and how can this suggestion improve up on that?

    What can we suggest?

Pretty much anything. But try to be as detailed as possible and flesh out your idea, think about.

It can be as minor as changing the colour of the wheel nuts for aesthetics, or adjusting the chamfer on the remote trigger to make it more comfortable for those with a certain type of hand, all the way to something more abstract or business practice related such as setting up a battery distribution service so that you can obtain batteries when travelling abroad with your board.

I've written a comprehensive review, can I just post that?

Sure, however while an entire list in one post as feedback, or a review for the board is nice to read presented all at once, if you really want your suggestions implemented I suggest you also split out all the ideas you have and create individual threads in here. Be sure to check and see if anyone else has had the same idea, then like and contribute to their suggestion.

This makes it much easier to get additional feedback from the rest of the community about exactly which idea resonated with them in your review. They can then provide feedback for the one (or more) suggestions they agree with.

How do we know what's popular?

As the forum grows with more and more suggestions posted, and members respond to them, we are able to sort them by popularity according to first post likes.

You can check this anytime by clicking the Thread Display Options tab below the thread list, then sorting them by First Message Likes

This way both the community, and the those at EvolveHQ can check in regularly and see the most valuable feedback and highly requested features.

Then hopefully Evolve can action them in upcoming production revisions!
