  1. Hey guys,

Got my board last Wednesday and I absolutely love it. Having issues with board shutting off and having to restart board and remote. Customer support responded to me at 11pm pst with shipping label and is paying for shipping. Up to this pint, this is exactly why I bought and evolve board... the hope that they would follow through with support. I’ll let you know as it progresses

I ordered a new remote just to rule that out and went through the trigger settings recommended by evolve. With the new remote, I can now see the battery and what is happening. The board travels normal for a few seconds the. The battery on the board (displayed on remote) begins to drop and goes in to eco mode. If I do t hit the brake when this happens the battery will drop all the way down. And board shuts off. If I hit the brake, it will show the battery charging back to full and the. The same cycle continues. Sending my board back tomorrow to evolve. Will update with results

Yea something is messed up for sure. Those are all not normal. Nice that evolve is shipping it back for warranty. Sucks it happened so quickly after receiving it

Got my board back today in full working order. I e out about a mile on it and will update. Evolve support was great, sent the board Monday and got it back repaired by Saturday. They said the issue was the power button... they also replaced one of my wheels and did y even mention it. Will update at 25miles in.

Glad that they got this sorted. I have seen problems elsewhere related to the power button, although usually the board will just cut out. Enjoy your (hopefully now working reliably) Evolve!

Thanks! I put about 12 miles on the evolve today. Ran great, only issue is remote buttons are either not sensitive enough. Feel like power button will break soon just turning it on and off and won’t switch between modes. We’ll see if resolved after full charge. Very happy with the board but I’ll be buying spares for everything as I do t want to go through shipping the board every issue. Very happy customer!

I thought the power button seemed flimsy, it's just resting on a microswitch though. One thing I find with the mode up/down switch is it will only change modes if I let off the throttle - are you doing that or trying to change modes while keeping the power on?

No went through the normal procedure and checked trigger values. Reset the trigger values and it’s worked fine so far.

How do you do the trigger reset? Reason I ask is that I'm only seeing 22mph max even with the wheels off the ground.

I am sending you the link to reset the trigger values correctly, to be followed by a clean and correct re-syncing procedure. (Please first reset the trigger values, and do a correct/clean re-sync after that). Let us know if for any reason this DOES NOT resolve the issue.

Please be sure, the Deadman is turned on (which is default) before you begin the process of resetting the trigger values.

*Attached is a pic of how the screen should look for the trigger values if set correctly. Please note your numbers will vary but the scheme will be the same. Most importantly too, be sure the Acc. Poll is (-) and the Brake Poll is (+)

    Video:

If the remote is still not responding properly after this, please send us a pic of your trigger values screen for review and resolution.

For best results turn on the board first , turn on the remote , as soon as the Evolve logo goes away press mode 1 button( top button) until the signal symbol begins to blink hold Mode 1 button down until it pairs to override the previous settings. The first pairing between the remote and board may take a little longer than usual . Allow at least 45 sec to a min for it to pair. If it still does not pair and function properly please let us know.

And FYI, I’m only seeing 21-22 with wheels off the ground.... is that not normal????

    Thanks for the reset link!

Maybe 22mph it is normal if you're seeing it too. I'm sure the speed is quoted at 24mph though. I'm not bothered about 2mph on the board but just concerned if it indicates a problem somehow.
