    Hi Guys and Gals,

Firstly I would like to say that this is a fantastic forum.

I took delivery of my Evolve Carbon GT 2 days ago.
All I can say is wow. This thing is terrifying.
I am not generally a skater but do own a dusters ace with bones super reds. It's pretty quick.

This however has not set me up for the carbon!
I clearly have zero sense of balance despite being able to ride a unicycle.
As soon as I hit 12mph or so I get the dreaded speed wobbles.
Having owned super bikes I can only compare a speed wobble to a tank slapper (terrifying).

I have tried tightening the trucks but am struggling to get the right balance. Too tight and I can't carve and any less I wobble.
It was suggested that I maybe tighten the inner most nut for carve and the outter for stability but this is not working for me.

I am hugely impressed by this thing!
I have done around 3 miles up and down my road and the battery is on 99% (maybe due to my constant braking.

Anyway just wanted to say hi from cheltenham UK and if there is anyone local who can show me how it's done, it would be appreciated.

    Many thabks

Welcome to the site Jon! Glad you're enjoying your foray into electric skateboarding.

It does take practice to get comfortable, you're better off keeping the the trucks tighter until you activate the leg muscles needed to ride over a week or two of riding before starting to loosen them up. It takes lots of trial and error.

There's some good guides in guides section that may help you out

A load of us are going for a ride around the streets of London at Critical Mass this Friday, so you're welcome to join us and you could always get a bit of feedback in person.

It's a pretty casual, slow paced ride and plenty of time to stop and make minor adjustments as we go, so might now be a bad place to have a play with the trucks.

Check out the event thread here, it's held on the last Friday of each month
