    Hey guys
With the first group ride behind us, it's time to set up the next one! This time its the "Bay Trail". Beautiful beach side views, smooth pathways, plenty of spots to pause and soak up the sun.

Plenty of parking close by for those who are driving, and I am sure public transport is available also.

We are looking at about 26k return trip, so battery wise we should all be able to make it, but if anyone is running low we can cut it a little short, as there are plenty of great places to stop along the way. I have done this ride myself, great mixture or straight paths and wide areas to carve, perfect for street wheels or AT, and I will strap a portable speaker to my backpack so we have some tunes for the ride :)

We can try and stick together more as a group, and allow any beginners to catch up a little, that way we will all be close by to assist anyone having issue.

Hope to see you all there, should be a great day, and will track the date to see if there are any chances of rain.

It's all good, it is actually a tad confusing as there's two buttons in this forum, one to create normal threads, one to create events (which ties a thread to an event).

I may remove the new thread button all together, but I thought it might still be handy to have threads not associated with a date if people are just spitballing ideas for events. Hmm, will have to have a think.

I didn't have that option in the drop down

    You sure mate?

You should be able to see the 'Event Tools' and the 'Tools' dropdowns, both of the ones in the image above.

You can edit from either, I just did a permissions test on your account and it appears for me. They definitely not there for you?

Doh, okay, I figured it out.

It's because I created the actual event, then merged it with the thread you created, then deleted my original post so it looks like you created the thread, but I'm still the event owner, so the event owner permissions aren't being applied to you.

I removed the option to create threads without events, to help prevent any kind of confusion about that in the future.

Have fun on your ride today!
