Hi, just wondering if anyone has managed to put the gtx battery in the bamboo gt. I am considering doing this mod by lifting the battery cover about 4ml with foam strips, just wondering if anyone else has tried a similar modification and is it even possible. Would be great if evolve had a slightly deeper battery case so people could upgrade there batteries.

Do LHBs upgrade instead. Better battery. He routes out some of the board to fit the battery. Awesome upgrade. Look up lhb electric skateboards online.

Also wondering here, just found a GTX battery and I have the Bamboo gt but I've been told the enclosure is the same. Anyone do it yet?

Enclosure is the same , not sure if the GT board is routed from the factory like the GTX

The GT deck does NOT have space routed out from the underside, so you'll need a spacer of some kind. There are 3d printed files for enclosure spacers floating around the interwebs if you want a cleaner installation, but weatherstripping works too. That said, I'm not sure swapping in a GTX battery is worth the effort or the money. You'll get a little more power and a little more range, but the SAG is just as bad. A better alternative, for as little as $400, you can get an aftermarket battery upgrade with Samsung 30Q 18650 cells in a 10S4P configuration. Pelican Bay is becoming a more popular option out of Colorado, but if you're local to SoCal, go see Psychotiller in Irvine. He recently posted on Instagram a picture of a 10S5P upgrade on a GTX with a custom enclosure that fits the existing screw pattern of both the GT and GTX decks. I know the owner of the board and I have it on good information that it costs $500 all-in. You're not going to beat that on performance per dollar.

Has anyone actually done this to their deck? I am considering doing it to mine. I know there are other battery types out there but I would prefer to stick with the factory discharge characteristics to not overload everything else.

I have been considering routing out my deck, has anyone done this?
