Protection film on motors?

Do the motors heat up alot? I have a new GTX on order and I am wondering if you can put protection film on the motors to prevent scratching or if the motors heat up too much for this to be advisable.

The motor will heat depending on use and environment temp, The reason they are not covered and their exterior is metallic is for cooling reasons, anyway some people does that , all depend on the risks you want to take to keep it pretty.
