Can anyone verify if MBS 9 inch tires work on a GTX? I know the 8 inch do but I am hopeful to get a little extra off-road clearance. Thnx!

According to Evolve the 9 inch tires work. Check the video at 2:20

Any ideas what the tire pressures would do to our hubs?? I’m looking into the MbS 8” Vine.. hoping with the higher psi (80), rolling resistance goes down a bit. I’m 260lbs, so any advantage helps. The most I’ve got out of my 7” ATs is 13 miles which I thought was pretty good.. but, like
The rest of us, I wanna go further

No idea what tire pressure would do to evolve hubs.
80 seems high only because my tires say the maximum is 60 psi, but I do tend to put in a tab bit more than that.

I have 8" inch MBS on my GTX (see photo) and there is some slight rubbing on the belt covers from the tread. Not a huge issue but it's there. You can slightly feel it when turning. I think it's a none issue with bigger wheels (like the 9" inch MBS) because the tread should be higher than the hub covers.
I just slapped these wheels on because they are knobby and better for off road/mtnboarding.

I hear bigger tires will give you higher top speed than the 7"ATs the GTX comes with, but not greater distance. Honestly dropping some weight would give you much more of an advantage than anything else.
I believe the reason Evolve lists 220lbs as max weight for our boards is not because they can't handle a heavier weight, but because the performance drops significantly. Even a 200lb rider is going to have a harder time uphill, and or in thick grass or whatever, compared to a lighter rider. I know everyone says this but there really is a big difference, and the board really is working much harder with heavier riders.

As info, Checked with Evolve & MBS, both say the hubs would handle 80psi.. on side note, MBS discontinuing the vines

Weird they still have vines available for purchase on their site. Wonder how many they need to sell through? And fair enough just saying my tires says (side note yes it's winter here):

Thoughts on 9 inch tire requiring different gearing? I know kits are available for 8 inch.

Wow that blows. I think the T2 and T3 tires are still available and they're pretty similar.

What do you mean by gearing and kits?

Something like board bumpers drive gear kit? Increases top speed for the larger wheels. Sorry I am a newbie with Evolve. My concern is the 9 inch tire performing like crap (top speed, range etc..) without an adjustment to the drive gear.

    What do you think GFA?

No idea. I didn't use anything like that when I installed my tires. I also don't know if it helps with the performance of 9" wheels. Try it with & without and let us know!
