Custom Lighter battery (Bamboo GT)

Do you think it is possible to make a battery that is half the size of its default? I don't need to the battery to last 35km range, maybe 10km is good enough. I just want to make the board lighter. The board is just too heavy. Wish they sell the lighter battery option...

 

It is certainly possibe, but I wouldnt use Lion batteries for that, because they can give you enough discharge, they would sag a lot....rather use LiPos, they wont take as many charge cycles but they will certainly be lighter and you can choose them according to your range preferences...
IDK how much does evolve batteries weight, but I dont think you will save more than 600 grams...for mre info check electric skateboard builders forum, if you make your own topic there, somone will certainly help you

Might not be worth doing it, if it doesn’t get lighter than 1kg...

I cant say how much ligter it will get, because I dont know weight of the evolve's battery...LiPos would wieght about 1 kg, maybe a little bit less...
