Remote trigger bottoming out may limit your top end

I've noticed on both the remotes I ended up getting, trying to fix the choppyness of the board, I found out that the remote trigger is bottoming out against the body of the remote. I found out it limited a couple of miles per hour from the top end. A way you can test if this is happening is to benchtest your board, flip it upside down so the the wheels are freely spinning. Then goto GT mode and accelerate the board as fast as it can go. Hold it for a couple of seconds and record your speed. Then take the remote apart, pull the remote out of the body, and repeat the test. I found I was getting more speed when the remote was pulled out then when it was fully enclosed. Reason being is the trigger is connecting the body preventing any more throttle. You'll see where that's happening when you look at it. If you want to fix it you'll need to file the trigger part where its hitting the body and retest. Once you get the speed to match with the remote in / out of the body you're done. Don't sand until the trigger clears the housing, ust sand enough while testing your speed to reach the same speed as when the lower cover is removed from the remote.

This is really interesting, I have noted before that the trigger was hitting the body, I assumed it wasn't an issue.

Might be an issue for some and possibly an issue for others. If one feel's like they're not getting the rated top speed and have fully balanced their pack then I'd to the test of the trigger as I described to see if this is the limiting factor to speed.

Also make sure to do the proper pairing of the remote to the board, not touching the trigger when they're pairing before doing the test. You should be doing that anyway before each ride :)
