Acton News March 30th Production Update

What’s Good Everyone!

There has been some confusion regarding how and when we release information, so we wanted to clarify our system to ensure clarity and to keep everyone up to date.

As of now, bi-weekly updates will continue to be shared on our blog with updated shipping dates, as well as product and design updates. Updates that will affect our customers or we feel are important will now be shared as they occur. Each new blog post from here on out will have this outline pasted at the bottom in case you missed or skimmed past it.

We are thrilled to see that many our backers have already received their BLINK S and are having fun! Thank you very much for all the great reviews and positive feedback. We’ve made some tutorial videos to address some of the feedback from the community:







Some safety tips and reminders

• Safety is always the top priority. Always wear safety gear when riding an electric skateboard including at least a CPSC-approved safety helmet.
• When riding an electric skateboard, always lean your body weight against the direction of the anticipated movement: Lean forward when accelerating and lean backwards when braking. This will help you keep the balance on the board. In case of any emergency situations, always use foot brake to stop the board.
• Unlike traditional skateboards, electric skateboards have many sensitive electronic components. Doing tricks or other abusive uses such as riding off a curb or doing power slides may damage some components such as, but not limited to, the power button and charging port located at the bottom of the battery pack. Doing so may void our manufacturer’s warranty, please refer to our warranty policy.
• Riding on a wet surface is extremely dangerous due to the powerful motor. We don’t recommend riding the BLINK S in the rain or on any wet surface. Water damage is not covered under our manufacturer’s warranty.
• You don’t need to keep your mobile app on to record travel mileage. The mileage is recorded in the BLINK S. Every time you connect the ACTON app with the BLINK S, your new travel mileage will get updated.

The deck on BLINK S2 will also feature an additional layer of beautiful bamboo to enhance the strength of the deck. (Top Deck: New BLINK S2 deck, Bottom Deck: Previous S2 Deck. Next to the enhanced S2 new deck is our team member’s skillful and prototype hand )

SHIPPING UPDATE
BLINK S

• US and Canada

The first batch of BLINK S is shipping right now. Just another reminder, we’ll need to get the shipping confirmation from you before we can process the order. You’ll receive a tracking number after the shipment has left our warehouse in California. If you still haven’t confirmed your shipping information, please reach out to info@actonglobal.com.

The second batch of BLINK S, which are for sales made after the Indiegogo campaign, is already on the way to our CA warehouse.

International shipping continues. Based on where you’re located, shipping logistics may take a week or several weeks (All orders before Feb 20).

BLINK S2 is still slated for delivery in April. Handling logistics may take an extra week or so based on large order base.

International shipping for BLINK S2 will start in Mid-End of April. Based on where you’re located, shipping may take longer because of order batching. Batching was created to save customers previously high shipping costs. The shipment will include all international orders during Indiegogo Campaign, Indiegogo In-Demand and Pre-Order.

BLINK QU4TRO
The design and development of the BLINK QU4TRO has been exciting and continue to accelerate. Per previous post, the current estimated delivery time for the BLINK QU4TRO is June but our entire team is working around the clock to bring QU4TRO to you sooner than later!
