I’ve finally finished! Enjoy! Also working on a 149kv dual 6374 turning motor setup.

So what speed/range do you get with the upgrade? Why do you have a hole in your deck?

With Flipsky 190kv and pulleys 16:66 and 7in wheels, top speed is around 38mph and range is about 35 totally real world miles as in drop before battery gets so low that it’s no longer enjoyable, the hole is the the Vesc because it couldn’t fit underneath, i realize now that the hole could be much smaller, but because this was my first time I just eye balled it.

Most of that is over my head but 38 mph? Holy ****! I'm going to put 107's on & that should bring my BGTR up to the high 20's which (for now) is plenty quick for me. I'm guessing you swapped out the motors & computer too? That range increase sounds really nice though. My battery (and board) are 2 weeks old, so hopefully by the time I need to replace it they have a longer range available - still it's very cool to know it's possible to DIY a better option.

Yeah 107s would be a beast! And if you check out my other posts I do 10s5p battery upgrades that work with all the stock electronics and work for all model of evolve skateboards (excluding gtr and stoke)

I will check them out, thanks - I ran out of juice & had a 2 mile walk yesterday so I'm really interested in extending the range - Great to hear there are options that do not include changing motors & electronics. In your opinion is that option worthwhile? Or should I be more open to upgrading motors & guts in addition to the battery?

My option is only recommended for riders 220 or less and it only really works with AT tires since a space must be added beneath the board, and is it worthwhile? YES YES YES I’ve done this 10s5p upgrade to three of my evolve skateboards and let me tell you it is way way way better than the stock battery!

The reason I replaced my motors electronics is because I was riding through snow and shorted everything, so instead of having evolve fix it for me for like $400, I decided to go diy. You do no need to upgrade the electronics at all they are perfectly fine, but if you want a higher top speed with slightly less torque I do recommend the rockstar 200kv 5065 motors

A new (stock) battery from Evolve runs $650 - Any idea what I'm looking at to do the power upgrade option that doesn't involve motors & electronics? What kind of power/range do you get from this?

Thanks for letting me pick your brain on this - I will definitely check out the motors. Hopefully if I read enough those #'s (10s5p?) will start making sense.
I've been working out daily since the world stopped spinning in March & as of this morning I am 220 even (& falling)!

I have been caught in the rain the last 3 days & I am paranoid about frying the electronics. I was hoping they aren't so fragile as i plan on riding in snow with AT's too. I was about to order some 8" MBS tires for just such an occasion.

The stock battery for the gt is 7Ah and for the gtx it’s 10ah, the 10s5p battery is 15ah but with this battery it lasts all the way down to 1%, unlike the evolve battery with won’t even let you ride once it get down to like 60%, there is zero battery sag with the upgrade, and it gets an honest 12miles of hardcore riding like trail blazing, and 25 real miles if you were trying to be as efficient as possible. Also these numbers are with all terrain tires. I would charge 599 to build your battery and install it in your board, you have to pay to ship it to me but I will pay for shipping back. Just send the board with the wheels removed to keep it cheap!

Aren't the GT & GTX older models? I have a new Bamboo GTR & with 7" AT tires my best distance was 17.8 miles on a charge. Even when it kicked me into Eco mode at 5% power I was still able to go 14 mph. I have 107's on order which should bring the range up to 25+ miles.

Oh if you have a gtr you really don’t need a battery upgrade, what you have is basically what you get unless you decided to go full diy

Thank you - That was pretty much what I figured. My 107's w/32T gears should get here any minute & I'm hoping that between these wheels & the 8" MBS AT's (80 psi) I will expand both range & top speed without getting too crazy and/or voiding the warranty on my board.

My new plan is to ride the hell out of this thing while learning a little about lithium batteries et al & maybe in a year or so I will starting thinking about a custom build. Thanks for the help/info.

    Happy 4th!
