Hi all, Johann from Melbourne, AU here. Quick history, I like doing things that are traditionally considered a little odd, hence at the age of 39 I'm getting back into skateboarding. A couple of years ago I was into urban shenanigans with a dirt-jump bike, then on to motorcycling for a bit but stopped due to various reasons, and got bored.

So 4 months ago I got a non-electric skateboard with the aim to go electric eventually. Before then the last time I touched a skateboard was at age 12. So for 4 months now I've been integrating the pushy into my daily commute to and from the train station. It's a 121c Aileron (the same deck as the Arc Aileron) with Shark wheels.

I've had a couple of tumbles that highlighted some protective equipment I would need before getting an e-skateboard, and also ultimately influenced my wheel choice. Fast forward to current day, and I'm awaiting delivery of an Evolve Bamboo GT with AT wheels and an R2 remote. Can't wait to get on to it and cut my commute time.

Strangely I got the board as much for its braking ability as for its acceleration, not sure if this is unusual or not though.
