Security Cable

This might not work if someone has the tools and time to remove the trucks. I found the plastic coated cable and the rest of the items at Home Depot.

 

Nice idea, but it would be too easily cut with the right tool. I would love to find a good way to leave my board somewhere but I'd also be concerned about vandalism! For now I use a mountain board backpack and carry it with me.

 

I think you are right. Those dirt bag theives are quite resourceful.

 

Is it not possible to get that cable loop through the small gap where the trucks bolt through the deck itself? I use an Abus combi retractable cable lock that way.

 

I’m not sure. Do you have a picture of what gap you are referring to? I think Abus locks are great. If I could use one I would.

 

This is the gap....not sure if the carbon has a gap here though.
