Hey guys, be good if we could create signatures with html links that would appear on each post? Maybe only a few lines long would cut it, but I think this would be handy :)

    Yeah, potentially.

I disabled them inititally as I wanted to create a nice, clean, compact forum design that puts focus on the actual contents of every post.

I'm not a fan of the same thing duplicated 10 times unnecessarily on a page, as signatures often are.

This issue is exacerbarted on mobile these days, with users using smaller screens instead of larger. Plus if there's lots of images, this could slown the experience for those on mobile data.

I'm not completelt opposed to it though. They can also be very useful, containing popular links etc.

I could set it up so that they only appear once per user per thread, and mayve hide them on mobile.

I'll have a think. Would be good to hear what others think about it too :)

Yeah that is fair enough. Great points and I hadn't consider the mobile aspect and the clutter. Fair call :)

Yeah, mobile is the future! Over 60% of the site traffic so far has been mobile, with another 10% being tablets, so it's definitely a consideration.

What kind of stuff did you want to put in your sig?

If it was a link to your home page I could maybe add another field to the postbit. That's expandable detailed info box next to your username. You can expand it by clicking on the + sign.

Of course you've got the full about me section on your profile too, where you can add tons of stuff :)

A single line that is visible on posts that could contain a link (for me it would be my YouTube channel), that people can click on without having to navigate to my profile?
