Bushings lifespan for GTR?

I wonder how long to go before replacing bushings. I have a set with custom durometer (not the stock ones) from Evolve that I’ve loved for 9 months.

Anyone find that replacing their bushings - with same durometer — on their GTR made for a nicer ride? How much had you used the bushings before you replaced them? Wondering if my ride quality might have slowly degraded by now and I can’t remember what they were like fresh. I adore riding my board (no offense to my cars).

Ok, no quick answer from anyone here. Tonight I replaced the bushings after 9 mos (riding about 5 days a week) on a set from the Evolve high performance bushings kit. Went out for a carving ride. Really nice improvement. Kind of subtle, but feels like the board has more spring/liveliness/feel to it when carving. Versus hitting a firmer limit when at full banking. And kind of eases over rough pavement with more agility. I’m riding 6” tires. Glad I replaced them.

Good choice on the performance kit.. what did you land on??

be aware not to over tighten, if you see any “bulge” turn it back.

Once you land on the correct firmness of your bushings, if you have any more than 6 threads on the boards side bolt, and 5 threads on the truck side.. it’s probably too tight!

you’ll find you can play around with different combos depending on your wheel choice or terrain.. I prefer softer bushings on urethane and harder on AT. I’ve even tried the purps/whites.. buttery soft, turn on a dime!

9 mos ago I settled on orange/blue rear, yellow/purple. I’m 175# Have loved it. I’m about almost 1.5 threads exposed, all 4 kingpins on the fresh set. Had gotten to almost 3 threads over time with the ones I just replaced. I swap the 6”wheels for the 7”s regularly (for a sandy road). Better deck clearance with the 6” for that more dime-like turn. Your car looks super fun!
