You may have noticed your browser requesting permission to Allow browser notifications from the Evolve Forums domain.
This is due to the new alerts system I've just setup. It allows the site to send you browser notifications of new forum thread and conversation alerts even if you're in another browser tab.
It works on Chrome, Firefox and Safari on normal desktop or laptop PCs.
What's particularly cool is that it should also work on Android phoned and other tablet devices
(iOS users will still need to use a 3rd party app such as Pushbullet or Pushover as . Instructions here. I believe we have to wait until Safari is service worker ready before we can...

Album: February 2017 Photo Competition
I'm launching a monthly photo competition so you can show off your photography skills and so you can share your Evolving adventures
To make it fun and a bit more interesting that not only will the winner get the prestige and honour of having their photo featured somehow on the site, I'm going to try and get a prize up for grabs each month.
This month I'm pleased to announce that SteveS33 from Flatland 3D has agreed to put up an Evolve Remote Trigger Guard for the lucky winner
He'll even post it anywhere in the world for you! (or maybe...
I'm pleased to welcome on board SteveS33 from Flatland 3D as Evolve forums fist site supporter!
Steve makes some great 3D printed accessories for a variety of electric skateboards, and most recently has developed a motor guard, trigger guard and toe stop for the Evolve boards.
A few of the forum members here actually took part in the beta testing to obtain feedback so he could make them as durable and functional as possible.
A bit last minute, but the weather doesn't look too bad for tomorrow at a balmy 8 degrees, as long as we don't get a torrential storm like today.
I'm fighting off a cold, but will make it if I can. If not, I know at least one other rider, @Aaron, will likely be there.

Any riders in the Charleston, SC area?
Edit: I ended up building this and it works a treat info at How I built a 12ah Battery for my BGT
So it looks like I'm going to end up replacing my stock battery in my BGT with LG HG2 18650 cells in a 10S4P formation.
Details of the swap:
I will be using the stock BMS as it would be a massive pain to replace it.
The LG HG2 18650 cells have a max continuous discharge rate of 20 amps with 4 of these paralleled the pack should have a total continuous discharge rate of 80 amps. LG HG2 Review (20A, 3000mAh)
The length of these pack will be slightly longer than the stock pack so I will need to extend the battery case.
The diameter of these cells are also slightly too large to I will need to cut some wood out of the deck.
I plan to build the pack in the same manner as this guy...
I'm in a local e-skating group here in NYC that meets every Saturday usually different places around the city. Right now the group is predominately boosted board riders with a few evolve's and other mixed stuff like me on my Leiftech board. I'd love myself to see a bit more variety in the group than all the boosted riders so I figured I'd put out the information for you all to join up! We have a whatsapp group that you are welcome to join, the link is here https://chat.whatsapp.com/H58ScLODWOKJjbrhsJioPN and we also have a facebook group but its private invite so please feel free to message me on facebook at Corey Anderies and ask me to invite you to the group. Hope to see you all out one of these Saturdays, I've seen you riding around the cities, quit hiding! ^.^ Meet-up's usually start around 12 and go til whenever you can stay or depends on how busy people are.
This will be my 2nd event, after hosting my first one a few days prior to this. Essentially, plan will just be to hit each other up for the duration of the stay, and be like, "hey, wanna cruise?"
Would love to have 1 big ride, which we can all discuss and agree on when it gets closer and we know more.
Might be nice to have a go kart race, and maybe a putt putt round too.
Grab a lunch and maybe a few drinks. Who knows?
This will be my first meet up. I was sent here by Joe Dubya. He told me this was a pretty good group.
Right now, I don't know much about the area, but after getting some help picking a place on Reddit, this is what we've decided on. We can change the area if we absolutely have to, but we want to keep it nearby.
The plan? Start riding, stop for lunch and drinks (and of course a charge), and then just cruise around for a bit.
Like I said, this is my first one, so if somebody who lives in the general area, and has experience with this wants to help me out, please, I could use it.
Thanks, and see you guys on the road.
Lets see what you've got!
Here's my first one
Here's the original to work with.

Have there been any success's with waterproofing the Bamboo GT?
I see some work done with the Carbon......I would imagine the Bamboo is by design better suited to waterproofing anyway.
Would simply using silicon sealant around the entire battery casing underneath be sufficient? Also perhaps the cable inputs.
What about the motors, they are exposed, but would they be damaged by wet surfaces.......I am not talking about using in rain, or through puddles, but wet surface that might throw up water.

I'd like to see what everyone else is thinking when people ask them why they should get an electric skateboard/eboard. I know this is a tough question because, there are so many obvious answers but, pick one!
Mine? I personally am choosing this method of transportation over my car. A small contribution on saving the earth.
Hello Guys, and Gals
I may be able to get some 97mm Flywheel Clones manufactured, I'm just trying to get a gauge to see if it is worth getting them made. Would anyone be interested in buying a set? They would look something like this. Different colors may be an option. 75a Durometer.
I would be looking at selling them for around $60 Australian a set. + postage. I live in Australia so keep that in mind.
Would have 25 sets all up.
Meet up around 11:30 here:
Park at: The Rubbing House, 34 Langley Vale,
Epsom Downs, Surrey. KT18 5LJ .
M25 near or Train station is not far away either.
A chance to try street or AT setup, with non - electric board users too.
