Hey guys hope im allowed to post this, im doing my masters dissertation about attitudes towards skateboarding entering the 2020 Olympics. Just need people to tick some boxes in my survey, it takes less than 10 mins. Heres the link: Skateboarder’s Attitudes Towards Brands Associating With The Olympic Games: A Study of Authenticity
Would really appreciate if you could take part!
This is our first meet and greet for our growing Colorado community, come out bring whatever board you currently got working or want to show off and we'll take a short ride up the Platte river road trail, and can come back for some drinks, a bite of food, some socializing, board sharing and get charged up in between to ride more. Bring your charging cords, I'll try to remember to bring a charging bar so we can all charge up some places inbetween. There's really no set end time, the way I usually did these in NYC is we would ride a few miles, hang, re-charge/socialize then ride some more.
If you can't make it at the very beginning contact us in the whatsapp group to get a idea of our location along the way, you are welcome to join any time of day as long as people still have a charge and want to ride. We'll be meeting up in the parking lot of the Target since it should have adequate parking for anyone who needs a place to park a car, and its close to an entrance to the platte river trail. If you absolutely cannot use whatsapp to contact us please PM me on here and I will give you my direct number to get in touch with us.

Electric skateboarding can be dangerous at the best of times. But when you throw traffic, pedestrians and low light into the mix it gets even more dangerous.
Visibility is key in staying safe when out and about on your board. Most of the bad accidents you see reported arise when a vehicle hits a rider and the driver of the vehicle claims they didn't see the person hit.
Lights are great, but they also require you to remember to charge them and turn them on. Reflective automotive stickers can compliment them nicely as they're always passively protecting you by reflecting light at all times, day or night.
Currently OWarmor.com - Onewheel, Onewheel Accessories has two custom design sets available for purchase.

This thread will be used for recording and tracking time trial and race results on the All Terrain Track 1 at CycloPark.
Track: CycloPark All Terrain Track 1
Location: CycloPark, The Tollgate, Wrotham Rd, Istead Rise, Kent DA11 7NP
Video of Track:
This is a relatively short downhill off road stretch of BMX track.
It involves 8 medium u-turns as you make your way down the hill.
Each turn has a decent amount of side wall elevation, so you need to keep your speed up in order to maintain enough momentum to make it around.
This track is very narrow, so it doesn't leave a lot of room for error.
It's quite a rough track with it's fair share of larger rocks and long grass to keep you on...
This week we bring you a series of pro riding tips to take your electric skateboarding to the next level! We cover riding tips as well as equipment choice and board set up.

I am looking at a project to get Bamboo GT AT up to 50km range with better power/ride for the whole trip (and keep up with GT Carbon boards )
The stock Evolve battery gets me 20km max with the last 10km crappy with constant dropping from fast back to eco etc. due to voltage sag
The stock evolve battery is 6.5Ah with 10 cells in series using unbranded prismatic Li Ion batteries with BMS at end of pack.
The board is fairly new so I am looking at using the stock 6.5Ah battery with another battery added to extend the range .
Being an engineer I like to design things out properly so my basic user specification is defined as
* at least triple the Ah capacity - so approx. 19-20 Ah in total
* utilise existing 6.5 Ah battery so approx. 13 Ah to be added
* additional battery to be "plug in" so only added for longer trips
* utilise stock BMS to charge auxiliary battery as well as stock battery
This will drive a few things in the design process
So far have worked out
MOD UPDATE WITH VIDEO:
Screen shot from the new weekly evolve video. In the video Jeff says it a new product releasing April 14 2017. Anybody have the insider info? I'm assuming it's just a new deck option.
First of all I want to make it clear that this is the first battery I have built, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.
After around 150 cycles the stock battery in my BGT was pretty much flogged, so I thought I would build a much larger replacement with higher quality cells. This is how I went about it.
What I built
I made a 12ah battery which is almost twice the capacity of the stock battery, it is comprised of 40 x LG HG2 18650 cells setup in a 4p10s configuration. This new pack experiences very little voltage lag and does not seem to overheat causing cut offs like the stock pack (this happens when you are pushing hard in long grass for an extended period of time). This new pack is longer and thicker than the stock pack so significant modifications to the plastic battery case was required. It also reuses the stock BMS and uses the stock charger.
Finished project (well mostly finished)
this should give you a conceptual idea of how the...
