Anyone else get any issues with Random pedestrians becoming angry just for the act of riding your board within the confines of the Law?

I've rode past people that have just walked infront of me (I'm going at walking speed) then argue that I shouldn't be on the foot path as if me walking instead of riding would have changed anything.

Another time an old man (70-80) walked from his side of the footpath into mine and argued about the law for a while and then wouldn't move out of my way til I walked around him, He was willing to take it to a fight even though he was wrong. :/

I've accidentally scared a few ladies, sneaking up behind them in the park (not like that!). I always slow down when approaching them on the path, but the last thing any of them expect is for a bloke raised up behind them on a skateboard deck cruising past.

I did get some verbal abuse from a chap in central London one Friday night when cruising home minding my own business. Was rather unusual, I think he must have been drunk  Must have been jealous.

Ha! Yes I'm expecting this to happen. The name of the game is being respectful but even then you are likely at some point to run into a crotchety person.

Mostly car drivers taking it personally that they have to share __their__ space. I've noticed how much more attentive drivers in London are compared to this small town where I live now where they take speed bumps at the maximum possible speed...

During rollerblading days a vagrant pushed me into the path of a pensioner and once a pensioner decided to take a friend of mine out with an umbrella to the feet, trying to trip him up.

There is a lot of dickheads around.

People yelling out things like "Do a Ollie" because it's the only skateboard trick they know.

Generally yelling out of a car window as they drive past (Can't understand what)

Yelling "Get a Bell" as I pass them. Even asking saying "Passing right"

Speeding past me beeping the horn. (on video)

Crossing the road and seeing me coming and just stopping in the middle of the road so I have to go on the wrong side of the road to pass the (on video)

Turning into a drive way in front of me. I have right of way by our laws.

Drunk guy riding a bike turning into my side of the bike track and I had to bail to avoid a accident (on video)

I wear a GoPro on my helmet now because of these things.

I'll post them up some time..

That sucks man. Most people I come across are interested and are asking questions (usually stops after they ask the price lol) but I would say I get far more positive reaction a lot of thumbs up and such I do live in a small town tho so it may be a city folk thing lol.
