Ive only rode my evolve gtx 3 times and it ran awesome. on the fourth attempt I took it off the charger and turned it on and it does nothing, its stuck in safe mode, I can still access the menus, but nothing else.
after about several minutes sometimes it switches to slow mode, but motors still wont turn.

See if the remote don’t change the protocol by itself, newer boards works in V2, v1 will not work properly

no matter what I do it wont go below 11 . ive completely disassembled it .
in that video he has it set to 0
I bet this is the problem

You know what man, I got the R2 remote in December, and I’ve been trying to find the video to get into this “throttle curve” screen. Prior to having this remote, I could have swore I saw a video that showed how to get in this screen. But after getting mine I couldn’t find it again. This thread helped me find it.

Mine still had “surges” after the R2 remote. Retrimming the throttle and brake fixed it I’m pretty sure.

I think it’s something on the board side. Have you ever taken your battery case off? Could be a loose wire?

The surges. Might be the brake sticking... cause i had my brake was not releasing all the way.

I’ve met so many GT sand GTX riders that have remote issues. Evolve must be going broke replacing remotes. I met a guy last night that told me his GTX has had 5 remote replacements. In all cases the power plug falls in or weird surging or the trigger falls off.

I just think for the money they charge we should have these issue. I think anyone that rides these has issues.

I had a similar issue. Board would stop and get stuck in safe mode. I rang tech support and diagnosed a faulty motor by swapping motor connections over as in one of the Youtube videos. They sent me a new motor and all is good now.

If your remote stuck in safe mode and motors not spinning its fried motor controller.

I have had an evolve bamboo GTX since December. I have already had the power button on the board go out once, the internal controller replaced (which required it to be sent from Houston to California), and I had the power input on the remote cave in where I couldn't even plug up the remote so I could power it up.

Today I received a new remote and it is stuck in safe mode and the wheels won't turn.

I really enjoy riding the board when it works, but that has been far a few between since I bought it in December. I think I have a lemon.

Also, Evolve USA just changed their phone support where you have to email and leave a message and they will get back to you within 24 hours rather than just talking to you when you call, which is really frustrating when you are trying to get answers.

The constant repairs has seriously damaged my enthusiasm for the company and I have little confidence that it will work before and after my warranty is over.
