New Evolve Remote Firmware as of April 2017

hey guys just reading some chat on a Facebook evolve group and there is some talk of a new firmware that can be requested where eco drop occurs at 10 percent not 30 - can anyone confirm?

 

almost sounds too good to be true. Would think they set it at 30 for a good reason. Really would be helpful on my bamboo with the AT wheels though.

 

Yep some of the riders in our crew have sent theirs in to be updated already. It just drops the ECO drop to around 10-15% rather than 30%.

 

Pardon my ignorance ... but how does one update the firmware on the remote?
When will it be available to the general public?

 

I would like to know how to update the firmware of the remote as well

 

Mine doesn't switch until 20% not 30%

 

My question is, why is it set at 30% if 15% or 10% is okay. Did they set it to 30% for no reason? I was told it was 30% to save the batteries from breaking, will our batteries break now? doesn't make sense to me.

 

It wasn't on my original remote and only changed when I got a new board under warrenry. Also mine switched at 20% not 30%

 

So you have to send the remote in, so they can update it and then have it sent back?
That would suck....

 

The nicer you treat lithiums the longer they last. I'd leave well enough alone if that was the only change.

nope only Evolve can do the updating, as the USB port is power only

Do you have to send just the remote, or more? Can Evolve USA do this?

 

Mine is on the way back to me as we speak. Sent it back for drop out issues (among other things). I spoke to them and they have assured me it's being sent back with the latest firmware (10%). Should be able to let you know over the next few days whether it's legit.

(Personal opinion, they changed it from 30% to 10% due to consumer pressure. If you ride anywhere where there's moderate to aggressive short-term inclines, 30% was ridiculous! I could be 20 minutes into my ride and the sag would regularly drop below 30% momentarily on inclines and then be back to the more accurate battery reading of 85% in a matter of seconds. It straight up ruined the enjoyment of riding these boards. I hope I'm going to be much happier with the 10% )

Couldn't help myself. Picked up the board tonight and immediately put the ATs on it and went for a night ride on FAST to test it out. Can confirm I got down to 14% and still no auto drop to ECO. The new firmware must be at 10%. In a word: AWESOME! These boards are, once again, worth the money!
