Blue LED on GT remote

    Hello all
I noticed on some Youtube videos, that there is sometimes a blue LED on the remote while they are riding. But on my remote the blue light only comes when I fully charged the remote. If I'm power on the remote, there is no LED.
Any ideas about the blue LED?

    Thank you

The early runs of the GT boards had a remote that there was no blue light while in operation, I have this style myself. In the next few production runs of the boards the remotes operation was changed, and thats why you see some guys with a blue light while riding, there are no other changes apart from this. The new version the ships with all new orders has changed again, adding the function to go up and down speed settings, so you don't have to cycle through them in order. That makes 3 product changes to the remotes. Hope this clears things up. I guess the original remotes may last a tiny bit longer as the light is never on while riding ;)

My newest gt has the light but not my older one, strange.

like I said, early runs of the boards did not have the light running while in operation, the newer runs changed a little and the light will be on while in use, nothing else has changed, apart from a further run which added the gear shift options.

yea the newest one has the blue led - you are likely missing the "gear down / gear up" feature on the new remote

Yes I'm missing that becuse this is not one of the new remotes (the guy had already told me that it is not the latest vesrion but hadn't told me even that is One of these with the fist came out version which is with non blue led while riding ...
But no problem with that :))

if you are having any issues with your blue led remote, see if they go away with the old style one - this could confirm what we suspect and I just posted about again in the radio thread (where the new remote with the new code shows the problem and the old one doesn't) !

the drop outs where the remote and the board disconnect- the "radio" icon on the display sometimes drops and comes back or drops and doesn't come back until you reboot, and worse when they board receives a command then keeps repeating it for 0.5-2seconds (like at times acceleration) - delays, anything where you don't feel you are 100% in control of the board from a remote control standpoint or it doesn't feel smooth (accelerating or braking)

    Aha ! I got it.
I haven't rode with the new remote yet. But with the fist one I hadn't any issues (the one with the blue led while riding) but I have noticed some very tiny and sort times that the radio icon drops and comes back very fast (with the blue led remote)
Also some times when I press the trigger for acceleration and I am on fast mode it reacted like. I was on eco mode and when in released it and pressed again it worked fine . This have happened couple of times ...
and finally one day I was ridding on fast mode and I was on 35 km/h and suddenly the board brakes and flyed of the board like superman and fell on the road . I don know why this happened but I am not sure if I accidentally had pressed the left button that reverses the throttle ...

yea that board braking thing is also a symptom (not just coasting) - any reaction from the board you were not expecting including quick drops

mine got stuck accelerating the whole time I was braking - then finally agreed to brake at high speed - and crash (not as fast as yours though - ouch)
