First, sorry if this is in the wrong place
I'm looking at getting a Carbon and am tossing up between the GT and AT
The main reason is I want to use it to commute to work instead of public transport
But, my work is about 20Km/13miles away and there are a fair few hills along the way:

    https://www.google.co.nz/maps/dir/B...9996cd39e!2m2!1d174.6208563!2d-36.8735196!3e1

So, it is close to the top of the range for the AT wheels, and a bit farther away from the range of the GT. Most of the videos and stats I have found have been people using it on really flat routes. But, no comparison of "real world" stats. Does anybody here know if the AT could last the trip?
And if the AT would not handle it, would the Street definitley be able to
Some of the hills are too steep and I would walking up them. I just would hate to get it and have the board die on me like way in to the ride and be of no use to me for the main purpose I want it for

  2. That initial incline shown on the google map, do you know the grade? and how much do you weigh?..

A lot of people try and 'gun' it up a hill, really you've just got to accept that you'll go slow but not chew your battery up a hill.

You say you're looking at Carbon either GT or AT.. do you mean.. you're looking at getting a GT and looking at bamboo or carbon? (evolve's boards are all GT)...

I've done 19 km off-road woth some serious hills using the AT set and I ended with 30% of the battery, but as I learned on this forum, the residual life shown on the remote is very indicative
I would recommend to buy the 2&1!

    Hello terrangray!
Yesterday i made a trip to town and back. I weight with gear 106kg, i own Carbon GT with AT tyres, tyre pressure 55psi.
The trip was 27km long, i drove the whole time on ECO mode. After first 11km of riding the battery indicator show 77% under load.
Then it starts drop faster. Battery was drained at 24km but i managed that when i kick in uphill i can drive downhill with boosted speed.
So it wasnt bad. In the uphills i did this, three kicks and a little time boost then three kicks and boost etc.
So if you are less than 106kg you can easily made the 26km if you kick sometimes in the uphill.
