Evolve GT Remote LED Stays RED?

My Evolve GT Remote LED stays RED during charging. Normally this is fine when it charges, but it's supposed to turn blue when it's done right? I've been letting it charge for a while. In the amount of time the board itself went from 40% to 100%, the remote stayed plugged in (a couple hours) and is still RED. Is that normal? It shouldn't take that long to charge the remote right? I'm a little worried that it's not changing to Blue and could be damaging the battery.

Not sure how long it takes before it should turn blue but I would wait atleast 4 hours. If its not blue by then turn the remote on and see if its fully charged.

 

The remote has some charge. The issue is that it doesn't display it's own battery level. So I have no way to tell if it's full. I'll just have to use it for a while and charge again I guess.
