R2 Remote with Firmware Update Won't Pair

I tried going for a ride yesterday but my remote would not connect to the board. I've had the remote for less than 3 months and it has the firmware update. Up til now it has been pairing quickly with no problems. When I first turned on the board then remote it looked like it paired quickly but then both battery indicators started blinking and the remote kept vibrating off and on. I turned both off then back on to pair but it won't pair now. I tried pressing the top button so the remote scans for the board but that didn't work. I can't find any other posts with the same problem. I'm waiting to hear back from Evolve now.

Has anyone else had this issue?

    Thanks.

Any resolution? I have the same issue. Remote will not pair to board. I tried resyncing but remote does not connect to board. I've emailed evolve service.

Make sure your remote is in V2 mode. I’ve had your issue happened to me and my remote had randomly switched to V1 mode, and it will never pair in that mode

Thanks that was it. Don't know why it switched, but switched it back to v2 and it pairs now.

Hi guys, I've found that my R2 controller has switched to protocol v1 and can't find any info on how to change this on the new controllers. Are you able to describe how you switched this setting from v1 to v2 please?

Sorry, I don't remember how to do it. I always have to watch the video. Go to evolve skateboards youtube channel. They have a video on how to use R2 remote. It shows how to switch to v1 along with other hidden functions.

I found the R2 remote videos:

Double press on/off button to get to menu screen. Go to "more info", press on/off button to select. Press the on/off button 2 times, then double press mode 1 button. Bottom right should show v1/v2 mode. Double press on/off button to change. Press on/off button once to exit screen.
