I'm back! Soooo... First off, I have really taking care of my board every couple rides I would do the maintenance clean the bearings just basically treated like a baby and spent a lot of time treating it nice. During winter because I live in Canada I didn't really ride very much and I take it out whenever I could. The battery from a full charge i leave my house go to a little slope in GT mode and the battery would just start going all the way down to zero and click me on to eco mode. I checked the cells on the remote and they were all balanced and contacted evolve multiple times going back and forth with them and basically I am SOL and need to buy a new battery. So I bought a friend's battery that he purchased as a secondary battery and he barely used it under a year old (he used it about six times). Mine was about 13 months old since I bought since I got my GT and the exact same thing was going on with my friends battery that I bought off him! So now I want to take it to this forum and ask others who have the same electric skateboard the Evolve carbon GT and ask what is your battery life like does it still keep a charge does it take you into eco mode on the slightest Hill?? So I have two batteries now with the same problem and evolve is telling me I need to buy another battery from them and that's about $650 Canadian expense for me after spending ridiculous amounts of money on this gt board and all the accessories that I bought off of these guys I am slightly pissed off because though they respond quickly the level of service or warranty on evolve is making me question whether I would recommend them to anybody I asked a friend about his boards as he has multiple types and uses boosted board he's had it two years and he sent it back three times and they pay for the shipping and everything so why is evolve at 6 months warranty more costly and it just seems like their products are failing to me anyway so this is why I'm taking this to the Forum and let me know if you have the same problem because you know I want to know if these batteries have a tendency to last for a year cuz I'm not paying $600 Canadian a year to ride this board! buying new batteries every year any suggestions anyone else that has other batteries that work very well and you know it's not going to fry up my board like the other guy on this forum. thanks guys apreciate your comments.

And for those who are going to ask. How did you treat your battery? I spent a lot of time researching on the tips and the maintenance and storage and just general you know tips to make your bored run good and last a long time. I treated it like a baby I would never leave it with a low charge I did use the fast charger and apparently that will lower the lifespan of the batteries but I mean come on one year?? absolutely ridiculous they don't warn you about the fast charger lowering the life span. I also never left it stored with a low battery. So there you go, I don't see any excuses why these batteries are lasting only a year.

‍♂️ yeah these batteries aren’t that great after a few cycles of charging especially after a year long of cycles.... a lot of ppl are hoping that evolve start using the 18650 cells instead of the prismatic flat packs which are trash.... I’ve had my fair share of battery issues and even after I sold perfectly good battery I still eneded up stuck with range issues...unfortunately there’s nothing you can do about unless you get a battery upgrade from someone who’s crafted at making packs... I’m actually in the market for a battery good or bad so if it’ll help you out I’m will to take the old battery off your hands at good price... & you can use that $$ towards either a new battery or an upgraded pack ‍♂️...lmk

Hi. Yeah I laughed kinda when they wanted me to get a third battery! Yeah right! I'm looking into the other modded batteries. I'll be using the crappier battery to do the mod so I won't be getting rid of it and at least I have a spare that could essentially get me home if needbe. Thx for the offer though.

I’d say check your wiring connections. Probably some wires that’s hanging for dear life.
I once had my power button wires broke off and lost connection and from a full charge the battery just drops.
I mean, its happening on both batteries you have, so no harm in checking wire connections.

  5. Sounds like the problem I had with carbon gt after ~200 cycles. Bought long haired boys upgraded battery pack and its been better than original new.
