Got my first flat riding to work today, from a bindi of all things. Luckily an uber was right next to me to keep me heading in the right direction. I have filled the tyre with tyre slime which has stopped the leak.

    Any other recommendations>?

Get some tyre liners / anti-puncture tape. 35mm ones I believe are the size you want.

Andy has been using them on the streets of London and not had a single puncture since installing some. Which reminds me, I need to get mine installed, got a roll sitting here.

35mm is the width, right? Just regular bicycle tire liners & cut the length to fit?

Any brands to recommend? Seems like Mr.Tuffy is quite well received.

Yep 35mm is width. Just trim them down and make sure you round off the corners. Not sure brand matters I just went for whatever the bike shop had

Just bought the liner linked above....they only sent me one roll but it is enough for 4 wheels

is it the liner overlaps itself a couple inches when placed inside the wheel? Wondering if I should cut it down some more

I imagine meeting end to end would be best for wheel balancing purposes? You don't want extra weight on the overlap section to throw off the rotation. Perhaps someone else can clarify?

True but if I meet to end doesn't that leave open the possibility of a nail getting in between?

I set the overlap to the opposite side of my valve stems. It actually helped balance my setup. I use fewer weights afterwards.

In this image, if you can see the tyre liner inside the tyre meeting end to end. To achieve this you must overlap by about 1 inch when cutting and when you push it flush against the back wall of the tyre it should spread out and line up end to end. Also trim the edges off so there are no sharp points.

I think 35mm is the size your looking for, try your local bicycle shop

FYI to anyone who plans on using the tube tapes. I have had multiple flats because of the tube tapes themselves. The rounded off edges leave imprints on the inner tube and makes it crack. These were such big holes that they were difficult to patch and probably just prone to failure again.

Side note: I learned that hard way that these 7" tubes are super hard to find. Be sure to order some spares from Evolve and carry them around with you!

Same thing happened to me! Can see where it was rubbing/pinching the tube. I put these tubes in to prevent the flats! I'm going to remove them from the other 3 tyres.
