Remote disconnect and board stayed at constant speed!

Hi all.. I'm posting this here as I'd be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this problem:

My Carbon GTR is brand new (3 weeks old) and has had no issues whatsoever. Except for the other day, I was riding in PRO mode... and approaching a steep grassy hill, I set to GTR mode and powered up the hill. Getting to the top, I was travelling around 14km/h, and tried to set the remote back into PRO mode... when it became unresponsive.

No acceleration.. No brakes.. No way to change modes anymore. The remote completely locked up... BUT THE BOARD KEPT A CONSTANT SPEED of 14km/h. Luckily it is a quiet road and I had space to think... And so I eventually quickly jumped off, and flipped the board over. I powered it off.. Powered off the remote.. Turned both back on, and it was fine.

I've had the board back to Evolve HQ here in Australia who have run diagnostics and done test rides, and can't find anything wrong.

Any ideas?

PS. I do ride using Bluetooth earphones, but that shouldn't affect anything. I was also connected to the Evolve app to track my ride. (And I'm not sure if related, but all my saved rides are gone in the app at I think the same time. Even though my position on the leader boards is still there)
