I have built quite a number of electric skateboards myself over the years and often I get asked to make a video of the process.
so I put together this video of the whole build process start to finish.
the goal for this build was to spend as little as possible and still have a fast reliable board.
    enjoy.

Good video Dean, although it might be worth posting up the parts lists and costs so others know what to buy, where to buy it and what the costs are in as a summary in the description for those that want the key info before spending 17 mins watching it.

I didnt do that because with different countries and currency and stores all over the world it wouldn't be super useful. You can google the part names that are clearly visible and find a local supplier.

I skimmed through the video and couldn't find the part names listed anywhere either?

well seeing as you (and loads of others) asked. I put together another quick vid of the parts that I used.
I am not affiliated with any of the online stores that I got the parts from so I'm not naming names.. But I think It should be pretty obvious.

also lets not forget that there are many different motors and speed controllers, and remotes that will all do the same thing, and are universally interchangable. any high amp RC car controller will work the same.

one thing I forgot to mention in the video is that the timing belts I used are 5mm pitch, but I have seen plenty of over the counter boards using a 3mm pitch belt, they all seem to work fine.
