All terrain wheels coming to the Enertion electric skateboard

According to this AMA, all terrain wheels will eventually be coming to the Enertion board. No news on how it will be implimented though

Will there be an All Terrain Wheels option in the future?

Final assembly is done in Shenzhen, China. We will ship the USA made parts to the specialist assembly factory. Then the entire product gets assembled, tested, then shipped via sea freight to the final country for distribution with 3rd part logistics. We are essentially doing what evolve do.

This is a massive operation, Unlike the Raptor 1 which we literally built in my garage! This process I am undertaking requires scale to work properly & that scale is not something that works in a garage. We need to be able to produce 1000's not 100's

The Raptor 2 has around 60 different parts, around 50 of them are custom made to our specific design.

The raptor 2 is made up of 5 key sub-assemblies.

The motors.

The main circuit boards.

The deck & handles.

The trucks & front wheels.

The battery pack / cells.

Each sub-assembly manufacturing partner has a list of quality requirements & function tests to meet before it is accepted, specifically, the electronics have to pass a full function test using custom built test jigs. Only then can these sub-assemblies go to the final assembly factory.

The final assembly factory actually has a fairly easy job because they are getting parts that have already had hours of work & test put into them (that's why final assy is so quick). They have about 20 screws to install, 10 wires to connect. They also have a list of various quality & function things to check off, make sure motors work & spin the correct way etc, take it for a ride. Make sure the accessories are put in the box etc.

The build quality of the Raptor 2 product will be a huge step up in quality from what we could ever achieve in my garage. However, if didn't have the 12 months experience of making the Raptor 1 in our garage we would likely make lots of mistakes in this large scale operation. We have a huge advantage because we have done the hard yards, now we can leverage the knowledge we gained and make sure the stupid mistakes don't happen.

We are now targeting the big boys in the industry and we have very high standards to meet. Constant innovation & improvement is our objective, if you have followed enertion for the last few years i think you would observe this.
