On Evolve's website it says that you can only hit 42km/h with the 97mm wheels.
But there are two different durometers - 75a and 78a

Since 78a is harder, wouldn't it have a slightly higer top speed than the 75a?

If any of you have any experiences with these wheels, please share your thoughts and top speeds, and let me know which you prefer and why.

78a for the reasons you outlined.

It won't make that much of a difference if any between your top speed and running 75a vs 78a. Yes the softer durameter has higher rolling resistance and where you'd see the biggegst difference would be with range, not top speed. And even there its nothing to notice. Its only a delta of +-3 in durameter which isn't much. Its like saying you put 3psi in all your car tires and you want to know which one gives you higher top speed, inflated + 3 or - 3 psi. Yes the +3 in theory but are you going to be winning races, no...
