Abec 11 Flywheel 97mm 75a are IN STOCK AT EVOLVE!

Just checked the Evolve USA site and I've found the Abec's are IN STOCK! I haven't checked the other country's sites yet but get 'em while you can if you're into that sort of thing.

Can anyone confirm if these will work with the standard GT street 32 tooth hub gears? I'm hearing mixed opinions and i dont want to buy the abec gears if i dont need to.

 

Yep, you can use the stock 32T gear that came with your board, the 97mm wheels fit straight on, nothing else is needed.
If you want even more torque you can go up to the 38T Gear, but this thing has a kick as it

 

I believe the standard 32T gears should work on the legit Abecs. The people that say they won't fit are usually using cheap clones and have to file them down to fit.

The Evolve site is not very clear about this and they say it requires an 'Abec gear' which they sell for $30.

 

yes one of our riders got some very cheap clones from ebay, he seems happy with them but did have to file the hubs a little.

 

They don't ship to Aus
I'd buy clones but they are 2/3rds of the price where I can find them and no rating for how hard they are.

 

just wait for them to be in stock, they are just starting to ship them out, If you are in Australia, try the group forums, they often have people selling them, our group does

 

Enertion have a 36 tooth if 32 teeth isn't enough acceleration for you and 38 has too much kick

Ordered a set yesterday

 

I was an idiot and only order one Abec 11 Flywheels Drive Gear with the wheels so while I wait for the other to arrive I put them on my original long board. They are temporarily replacing the 76 Abecs. Man these things are huge and on the first test ride they are smooth too. Gonna have to carve a little more of a wheel well to accommodate the bigger wheel. Can’t wait for the second gear to arrive ;-)
