    Hi Guys,
I plan to buy a electric board very soon. I will primarily use the board as a daily commuter board back and forth to work that is 100% sidewalk for 1.5miles. As sidewalks have those annoying expansion cracks every 3 feet I'm wanting to see what wheel is going to be the best. Will standard urethane wheels be soft enough to absorb the vibration on a bamboo deck or should I really dedicate myself to the AT wheels? How about the more stiff carbon deck?

    Ashby,

I ride the carbon with Abec 97s and the sidewalks are still a little jolting but not bad. They might be the 78a so that doesn’t help but the ride is still smooth enough for me. The new 107s might be better but I won’t be buying just to try even if they are available. I am very happy with the setup. Either way the bamboo desk should absorb some of the vibration and the AT setup will definitely smooth out the ride. The evolve 83s that come standard are ok wheels but the abec 97 and 107 are better. Knowing what I know now I would get the board with the AT wheels and purchase the Abec 97 or 107 setup to include drive gears separately. Enjoy.
